Y&R Comings And Goings: Chance Gets A Therapist, Two New Characters Arrive

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for the week of February 28, 2022 reveal that Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) is about to get the help he needs in the form of a therapist who is not Sharon Newman (Sharon Case). Friendly advice is one thing, but should Sharon be “treating” her friends and family all over town in between pouring coffee and tea?

Chance will get an actual professional to help him (and maybe start with his hygiene—someone please get this man a comb) and there is a second addition to Genoa City, Wisconsin to get to know. Let’s get started dishing all the soapy news that’s fit to print Y&R fans!

Chance’s new therapist is played by Jeremiah Jahi who debuts as recurring Dr. Huffman on Wednesday, March 2. This is not Jahi’s first rodeo. He has been seen as Officer Greenly on One Life to Live and he was on All My Children and As the World Turns.

Multiple soap watchers will recognize Kelsey Wang, who has been cast as Allie. Wang was Dawn of Day member Daisy on General Hospital. She was not very likeable as a cultie who did the nefarious leader’s business, and we have no word yet as to whether or not she will portray a good girl or a bad girl in Genoa City. She’ll begin airing in March and is described as a young professional.

Reflecting on the two new hires, we can speculate that Allie might be in the orbit of the young professional set that includes Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Devon Hamilton (Bryton James). Both of these young professionals have multiple irons in the fire and one more would make the pot really boil. It’s a miracle that either have time for romance, what with Devon fighting to be a dad to baby Dominic and Amanda taking on a high powered corporate job. This is just speculation but it would be nice to expand the circle of characters these two interact with.
