The first book that the couple wrote was called “The Hope We Hold:: Finding Peace in the Promises of God” and was published in May last year. Currently ranking at #373,282 in Books on Amazon, it’s not selling stellar numbers. Actually, given the built-in audience from the TLC show, Jinger might be a bit disappointed. Perhaps that’s why Jeremy and Jinger tried to go into writing books for children. “You Can Shine So Bright” arrived in August this year.
Actually, the kid’s book by the Counting On couple seems to do better than their original in terms of rankings on the website. Mixed reviews came along, with some people getting angry about a Black child being tempted to steal. However, most readers’ reviews were not too bad in the Children’s Christian Values Fiction category. Now, Jinger is getting ready to launch her third book in the space of one-and-a-half years.
Katie Joy of Without A Crystal Ball on Instagram dropped the news this week. According to her, “it’s all about dismantling and leaving the oppressive world of the IBLP.” In the book description on Amazon, it talks about how Jinger’s eyes were opened by a brother-in-law and her husband, Jeremy. Actually, Katie Joy mentions Ben Seewald as the person who taught her about living a life without so many rules.
In Katie’s opinion, the new book by the Counting On alums will result in them getting “cut off for good cause she’s going to admit to growing up living in fear!” That sounds quite explosive, and it might really blow Jim Bob Duggar out of his little backwater. But will it be earthshaking? Some TLC fans don’t think so. One of them opined in the comments, “I’m not gonna get too excited, as I’m going to guess this won’t be the juicy tell-all book we’ve dreamed of. However, I’m still very surprised and intrigued.”
Other Counting On fans seem to think that the book will be careful about too much deep stuff. A comment read, “This book will be sugar coated. I’m sure no juicy topics will be covered.” Agreeing, another fan opined, “This book will be dry as Popeyes biscuits. ?”
Perhaps readers should give Jinger Vuolo a chance and wait for the book to come out. After all, she might surprise people yet. It launches in January 2023 and the hardcover is priced at $29.99 and Kindle is at $14.99.
