Why Drew And Carly Should Never Pair Up On General Hospital

General Hospital spoilers reveal Drew Cain becoming a replacement Jason in Carly Corinthos’ life and that just shouldn’t happen for various reasons.

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Corinthos Tossed Drew Cain Aside Once

When Carly (Laura Wright) believed that Drew (then Billy Miller) was Jason (Steve Burton), she couldn’t get enough of him, as just a friend, of course. After all, he was with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and she was sometimes with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and sometimes not with Sonny Corinthos. But, as soon as OG Jason returned to the scene, both Sonny and Carly wanted nothing to do with Drew. They had the real Jason back and Drew learned who his true friends were — namely Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner).

Franco is no longer with us and Drew hasn’t even had much of a reaction to that fact despite them thinking of each other as brothers. At least NuDrew has spent time with Curtis and Curtis even witnessed Sonny (off his meds, but truthful) telling him he’s no Jason and they were never really friends. As for Carly, she is just reverting to form.

GH Spoilers – Carly Did The Replacement Jason Morgan Thing Before

Remember when Jason was dead the first time around? That’s when she thought that Franco was Jason’s brother so she grew close to him and convinced herself she was in love with him and even almost married him, but then he learned she cheated on him with Sonny and that was the end of that.

Now, Jason is gone and Sonny sorta cheated on her, but not really. After all she had him declared dead before we could blink, married Jason, and nearly slept with him in Sonny’s bed, but then Sonny walked in and put the kibosh on that. She also moved out on Sonny, so technically, they were on a break when he slept with Nina. But Carly is still in her feelings and everyone else must also know her feelings. Plus, not only doesn’t she have Jason, she also doesn’t have Jax because some vaccinations got in the way. So, Carly has turned to Drew as a consolation prize and that is unfair to Drew.

General Hospital Spoilers – Why Can’t Drew Cain Have His Own Life?

Why does this NuDrew have to be tied to Carly? Drew had broken away from her and Sonny once before and can do it again. Even if Sam insists she loves Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), there are other people out there for him. He even once loved Elizabeth and Mathison and Rebecca Herbst actually have chemistry. Why does it always have to be Carly? Stay tuned to General Hospital weekdays to see if Drew can ever break free?
