Vaccine Volunteers To Receive Prestigious Platinum Jubilee Award From Camilla Parker-Bowles

On March 9, The Sun announced that their hardworking Jabs Army volunteers are among the listed candidates to be honored as part of an awards scheme marking the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Celebrations for the Jubilee are set to officially kick off in June, from the first Thursday of the month to Sunday, with all four days being bank holidays.

“Jabs Army” Proud to be Named In Line To Receive Camilla’s Platinum Champion Awards

The Duchess of Cornwall’s Platinum Champion Awards will “recognise the truly special people that are making a real difference to our communities with their generosity”.

As the president of The Royal Voluntary Service charity, Camilla will select up to 70 winners in each of the seven categories.

The 140,000 Jabs Army volunteers aided the rollout of the Covid vaccine and they’re likely to be nominated in the “Supporting the NHS and Social Care” category.

Camilla added: “I hope many of you will share your stories of these local heroes and nominate them for a Platinum Champion Award.”

The 70 volunteers picked in each of the seven categories will receive a Platinum Champions pin and a signed certificate from the Duchess of Cornwall.

Vote For The Jabs Army Volunteer Before April 10

From the list, 10 outstanding volunteers from each category will be invited to celebrate at a special edition of The Big Jubilee Lunch, taking place on Sunday, June 5.

The BBC’s Platinum Party at the Palace and the awards are being backed by Oti Mabuse, Philip Schofield, Elaine Paige and Felicity Kendal. The BBC One Show will highlight some of the most heroic volunteers from across sectors and communities.

You can put forward a Jabs Army volunteer before April 10 by visiting the Platinum Champions Award’s official website.
