Todd Chrisley – Gets Sued Amid Prison Sentence News
Not a good day. As Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley learned his sentence of 12 years in prison, he also faced a defamation lawsuit. And now Todd needs to prepare for life behind bars at the same time as his new legal battle, reported Radar.
The Chrisley Knows Best star, 53, faces a legal challenge from former Georgia Department of Revenue Special Agent Amy Doherty-Heinze. The former special agent alleges that Todd sought to ruin her reputation. And Doherty-Heinze describes Chrisley as “falsely and maliciously” claiming she became guilty of criminal behavior.
Todd allegedly used both social media and his podcast for a campaign that resulted in a “vendetta.” And Doherty-Heinze claimed the Chrisley Knows Best star did all he could to get her Georgia Peace Officer Standard and Training Council certificate revoked. As a result, Todd’s alleged actions could have blocked her from getting a job.
Todd Chrisley – Claims Ex Special Agent Made Alleged Sex Tape
The Chrisley Knows Best star made a series of claims that resulted in what the former special agent views as a vendetta. For instance, Todd alleged that Doherty-Heinze stole money from an evidence room and got involved in an extramarital affair with her manager at the time. Chrisley also claimed that she then allegedly created a sex tape with her former boss and another colleague, according to the lawsuit.
But the Chrisley Knows Best star confessed that he did not own any evidence of a sex tape. And he also could not provide any proof to allegations about an affair or that Doherty-Heinze behaved illegally. Todd allegedly began his vendetta soon after the Georgia Department of Revenue started investigating the Chrisley Knows Best stars.
And an insider revealed the timing. The source shared that Todd “had managed to dodge being served. But they finally got him at Atlanta’s Federal Courthouse when he showed up for sentencing.” Judge Eleanor L. Ross issued the sentences.
As a result of the judge’s decision, Todd will spend 12 years behind bars. He also got three years of supervised release, as did his wife Julie Chrisley. And she will spend seven years in prison.
The prison sentences come in the wake of their convictions. Those involved charges of tax evasion and bank fraud. However, Todd and Julie also must face a custody battle. The biological mother of their adopted daughter, Chloe, wants to get full custody back. But the couple’s older daughter, Savannah, reportedly plans to oversee her brother Grayson, 16, as well as 10-year-old Chloe.
