Chrisley Family News – Custody In Question

Chrisley family news reveals, according to Fox 5 News, that this new custody battle comes following some legal drama. The Chrisley Knows Best stars were convicted and sentenced to federal prison for tax fraud and evasion, last month.

In a recent episode of her podcast, Savannah Chrisley, the eldest daughter of the now-convicted former reality TV personalities, provided an update. Savannah informed her listeners of her plans to take custody of her 10-year-old niece Chloe, and her 16-year-old brother Grayson after her parents are taken into federal custody on January 15, 2023.

Chrisley Family News – Mother Wants Daughter Back

TMZ reports that Angela Johnson, Chloe’s birth mother, says she is attempting to regain custody of her daughter. Fans may recall that Todd gained custody of Chloe while the Chrisleys were living in Atlanta, but then they moved to Tennessee.

Johnson explains that, since she is living in North Carolina now, it is a jurisdictional nightmare making it even more difficult for her to try and get custody back. The Chrisleys have yet to respond to TMZ.

Fans may recall that, in 2016, Todd gained custody of Chloe during his son Todd Jr.’s battle with drug addiction. Johnson, Chloe’s mother, was arrested later that same year for filing a false application for Medicaid assistance. However, her case has since been adjudicated.

Chrisley Family News – Chrisley Conviction and Sentence

A federal jury convicted Todd and Julie Chrisley, of conspiring to defraud Atlanta Georgia banks, in June of this year. The couple, as well as their accountant, was found guilty of tax fraud.

According to US Weekly, ahead of Todd and Julie’s sentencing Savannah Chrisley confirmed that she has custody of Chloe and Grayson. “[I’m] trying to navigate how you teach two younger children who aren’t fully developed yet and get them to understand the circumstances,” she said on an episode of her “Unlocked” podcast in November 2022. This was shortly before her parents received hefty federal prison sentences. “That’s a really, really difficult thing.”

Savannah Chrisley – Claims Parents Convicted on Lies

Prosecutors said that Todd and Julie Chrisley defrauded banks out of $30 million in fraudulent loans. The reality TV star’s attorneys said they would appeal the conviction. Savannah, for her part, has said that her parents were convicted on “lies” and assured fans that she would keep up the fight for her family. Chrisley’s attorneys claim that an IRS officer falsely testified and that the prosecution pushed her to do it.
