In the wake of Todd and Julie Chrisley receiving prison sentences, custody of their granddaughter Chloe just became an issue. And Chloe’s mother shared her desire with TMZ. However, Angela Johnson admitted that she did not yet file any legal papers needed to become Chloe’s guardian.

The ex of Todd’s son Kyle Chrisley, Angela shared that she did not work on submitting “any legal papers … as of right now.” But she added that she has begun “the process.” And the 31-year-old mom of the 10-year-old expressed her goal of going “back to court to get Chloe back home.”

In tears as she discussed the situation, Angela declared, “I want her home. She deserves to be home.” Todd, 53, currently has legal full custody of Chloe. But Johnson added, “I’m her biological mom. I didn’t walk away from her. I was pushed out of her life.”

Todd And Julie Chrisley – How Todd Chrisley Gained Custody Of Chloe

Todd’s son Kyle and Angela welcomed Chloe into their lives in 2012. But in 2016, Kyle’s drug addiction caused him to lose custody of his daughter. And that meant Todd and Angela shared custody. 

However, Angela got arrested for allegedly filing a false application for Medicaid assistance. And that arrest meant that Todd received full custody. But Johnson now wants to arrange for complete custody of her 10-year-old daughter. And Chloe’s mom revealed that she has sought for years to try to change the custody arrangement.

However, one challenge comes from where she lives. Angela resides in South Carolina. And the Chrisley Knows Best clan, including Chloe, lived in Atlanta before settling in Tennessee. As a result, Johnson described all the different changes as making it more difficult for her.

With the arrest allegations behind her, Angela feels determined to get custody of her daughter again. And with Todd facing 12 years in prison for bank fraud and tax evasion, some sort of change seems inevitable for Chloe. However, Savannah Chrisley has shared that she will take custody of Chloe after her parents go to prison. But Angela does not agree with that plan.
