The Young and the Restless shocked fans last week when Chelsea’s downward spiral was revealed to be more serious than anyone thought.
The Young And The Restless – Chelsea Newman Tried To Jump
For months, fans had been watching Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) make bad move after bad move. She was mortified after she kissed Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and he rejected her. She still feels partly responsible for Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) death. Her son Connor Newman (Judah Mackey) resented her. She couldn’t forge a relationship with Johnny Abbott like she wanted.
Eventually, Y&R spoilers show Chelsea’s despair became too much and she wanted to end the pain in the best way she knew how. So, she made her way up to the hotel roof after telling Billy and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) that she just needed rest. Billy knew something was wrong so he checked on Chelsea and found her near the edge ready to jump.
Billy did his best to talk Chelsea down and tell her that she can still fix her life, but Chelsea was still too far gone to hear it and Chelsea leaped. Thankfully, Billy caught her and brought her to safety.
