The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Sneaky Nate Sabotages Himself

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest that sneaky Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) will wind up sabotaging himself at work. He proceeds to set something up without Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) okay first, and sabotages himself right out of a job, quitting in frustration.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nate Hastings’ Mistake

There’s always that competition between the two cousins that gets Nate in trouble with Devon and Nate is mistakenly letting it affect him at work. He plows forward with the first Hamilton-Winters music festival, and makes all the arrangements for it behind Devon’s back, right up until it’s ready to roll. All it needs is Lily Winters’ (Christel Khalil) okay and it’s on, and he doesn’t think he’s taking a risk in doing so.

Nate is totally convinced that it will be a huge money maker for Chancellor-Winters, so how could Lily or Devon possibly turn it down? Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) tried to talk Nate out of moving forward on the plan, but he second guesses himself and figures if he doesn’t Devon will turn it down.

Y & R Spoilers – A Video Conference Takes Place

Then everyone is called into a video conference by Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) who then asks if there is any new business to discuss. Billy Abbott, (Jason Thompson) aware of Nate’s idea, pushes him into talking about the music festival, which pushes him into pitching the idea even though he hadn’t been planning to.

Nate is no doubt excited that Jill loves the idea, but Devon hates it, predictably; Jill leaves the final decision up to Lily, who tables it. As far as Nate is concerned, that means that that Lily is siding with Devon against him, and Nate doesn’t take that well at all, though it’s not a total rejection. But The Young and the Restless spoilers tease that Nate being Nate, gets an attitude and just simply walks out of the meeting and in doing so, walks out of his new career.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Elena Dawson Shocked

Elena, naturally, is shocked when Nate comes home and tells her he quit the company just because they didn’t accept his idea right away. She had warned him not to get ahead of things and he hadn’t listened. Of course, what she doesn’t know is how much Imani Benedict (temporarily Denise Boutte) has been an influence in this, pushing Nate to make some rash decisions.

Nate may come to his senses and try to smooth things over at work later, but for now he’s sabotaged himself in his new career. It may take some advocating possibly on her part to help him fix this, although she may try to influence him back into a medical career which is more his forte.
