The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Chelsea Steals A Kiss, Billy Backs Away

The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Soap Opera Digest, Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) will make a bold move. She’ll steal a kiss from Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) but he’ll back away and she’ll be embarrassed.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – A Changed Mind?

Previously, Billy had talked to Chelsea about his significant other, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) having wanted him to quit his podcast, “The Grinning Soul”. That had upset Chelsea, because she loves the podcast and had had a great deal of fun working with him on it. It was a real emotional outlet for her and she was able to express her creativity in fun ways, and different ways than what she was used to doing.

They had just found their groove, so to speak, working on the podcast together and then it seems to be destined for cancellation. Chelsea hopes that Billy has changed his mind about quitting the podcast.

Y & R Spoilers – Who, Me?

Chelsea is surprised when Billy suggests that she host her own podcast, and she’s not real sure about that. It’s the back and forth banter with her co-host Billy that she enjoys so much and going it alone just wouldn’t be the same.  So, she tells him she’s not comfortable with the idea of hosting a podcast on her own and she turns him down, even though he’s sure she would be good.

Billy, however understands why she would be insecure about hosting a podcast on her own and accepts her decision without argument. Then he suggests that they bounce some ideas around about what to talk about on the final episode of “The Grinning Soul” and they start brainstorming.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – An Unexpected Kiss

As she and Billy are working on ideas for the final episode of the podcast, suddenly Chelsea impulsively kisses Billy, and even she doesn’t know where that came from! He backs away and stops her from going any further, and she’s embarrassed enough that she’s not sure if she can ever face him again. They had once been lovers, and actually share a child; she is Johnny Abbott’s (Paxton Mishkind) birth mother and she’d recently talked about telling him the truth.

Maybe it was just a Freudian slip type of blast from the past that caused Chelsea’s impulsive action, considering she’s been talking to Billy and Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) about Johnny. Whatever it was and wherever it came from, Chelsea’s absolutely mortified.
