Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) could not believe what she saw when looking out the window of Bill Spencer’s (Don Diamont) vacation home in Aspen, Colorado. There was Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), sporting his brown leather jacket, and Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen), with a big knit cap on top of her head.
The beautiful fall scenery is part of another B&B location shoot. Ridge intends this follow-up to Monte Carlo as definitive pledge.
Ridge told Taylor what she had been hoping to hear for many years. But she instantly rejected him saying he loved and wanted to be with her forever.
No one should blame Taylor for her emotional reaction, with Allen offering a series of great acting turns during the indoor and outdoor sequences. This actor has come to own the current edition of Taylor, offering a fresh take on the triangle dynamic that B&B often presented in daytime days gone by when Hunter Taylor (Taylor) was the original version of this legacy character.
In a handful of scenes, Donna Logan (Jennifer Gareis) learned that she and Eric Forrester (John McCook) had to cancel their trip to the islands because Ridge used the Forrester Creations jet.
Meanwhile, Bill stopped by the Logan compound and flirted with Brooke, who rejected his nostalgic comments. However, his latest unannounced arrival proved useful because he told Brooke that Steffy and Taylor were checking out his Aspen home that he would like to sell to Wood’s character for an asking price that he described as an arm and a leg.
Brooke may revisit Bill’s offer of himself in days to come if the subsequent phone call she received from Donna about Ridge jetting to Aspen does not produce the result Lang’s character wants. Brooke is projected to jet to Colorado herself and interrupt the latest Ridge-Taylor get-together.
After Thomas got off the phone with Steffy, he recalled some highlights of the child services report. That plot technique filled some time and was generally intended for any viewers who did not see what recently happened. But was there another reason why those reflection scenes were shown?
Could it be that Thomas was thinking about what his dad learned so he could pat himself on the back for orchestrating a frame that breaks up Ridge and Brooke? Anyone who knows Thomas’ history of bad behavior can not dismiss him as the leading suspect on B&B.
