While Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) is not quite on the level of Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) when it comes to delusional, he can often seem mighty confused. At the moment, he doesn’t really see the big deal about calling CPS on himself and using a voice-altering app on his young son’s phone so Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang) would take the fall.

After all, it’s not the worst thing he has ever done and he thinks keeping the Baby Beth secret was much, much worse. Besides, Brooke told him she was going to call CPS so she wasn’t completely innocent in all of this. Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has done some pretty crappy things too and nobody is trying to take her job away.

B&B Spoilers – Thomas Forrester Pleads His Case

These are the excuses Thomas gives to the Forrester Creations Board of Directors and he thinks all these words will work. This was a minor setback and he is mostly an honest person now, so what’s the problem?

“Thomas doesn’t expect the level of reaction he gets from these people,” Matthew Atkinson said in the January 9, 2023, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “It’s interesting to see people who were on his side now aren’t and people he thought weren’t going to be on his side are.”

The problem comes when it’s his dad, Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye), has to cast the deciding vote on whether he gets to stay on as a designer at Forrester Creations. Ridge is just not sure what to do. After all, Thomas’ actions ended Brooke and Ridge’s marriage, which had been on the rocks for months anyway.

But perhaps he will start to think that he has to take some true blame for the breakup as well. What Ridge decides to do can make or break his relationship with his son, so this is a major decision for a man who is not very good at making choices.
