Each instance where Ridge and Brooke separated and or divorced involved a different set of soapy circumstances. This storyline centers on many factors, including Ridge’s repeated warnings about Deacon representing unavoidable trouble.

Brooke said she does not know why she continues to sabotage their marriages. That implies a mental health problem. Whether Ridge suggests individual and couple counseling is yet to be seen on B&B.

Along with all that is developing, Ridge must find a way to make a measured decision. He has to balance his feelings with consideration for Brooke’s break from sobriety. Ridge is mad but aware that his wife is in a fragile state.

Taylor earned Ridge’s trust and respect after returning from Africa. She did so by not trashing Brooke or questioning his marriage to her.

However, it is not out of the question to believe Ridge could defend his wife. Taylor needs to be very careful because Ridge’s feelings are raw. He views Brooke as Deacon’s prey and does not yet know what Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) did or that Taylor has been having conversations with this villain.
