The Bold And The Beautiful Characters That Need To Return – Rick And Maya

The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers show no sign of any new life in the Forrester family. Sure, Eric and Quinn’s marriage might be all but over, but where are some of the Forresters aside from Ridge?

As far as we know, Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) and Rick Forrester (Jacob Young) are divorced and Maya is still living in Los Angeles with the granddaughter of Eric Forrester (John McCook) and Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) while Rick is living and working in Europe. We have no idea why they divorced. We just know Maya told us it happened and then it seemed we never heard from her again.

Weith the current rotation of Forrester characters’ stories seeming to come to a climax at the moment, why not introduce some new blood in the form of old blood. There is a lot that can still be explored and written for Rick and Maya and we have no idea why the show decided to stop telling their story. In fact, B&B wrote off the entire Avant amily after introducing them with such a prominent and well-received story, so what gives?

B&B Spoilers – Why Write Off A Propular Pair?

Not only were Rick and Maya groundbreaking for The Bold and the Beautiful and soaps as Maya was the first openly transgender woman on soaps to wed, but they were also popular and fans loved them. Theirs was a true love story that became even more rich when they chose to havea child using Maya’s sister, Nicole Avant (Reign Edwards), as a surrogate. Nicole also married a Forrester, and she and Zende divorced off-screen, also for no apparent reason.

Sure, people grow apart naturally and split for that reason, but this is a soap and it can and should always be more juicy than that. Perhaps bringing these characters back and exploring what happened when they were off in Europe might be a story worth telling.

In addition, Rick Forrester is a legacy character and should be featured on the canvas as he had been almost non-stop since he was born. Not using him as a member of another generation of Forresters makes absolutely no sense and is something the soap can rectify easily.
