Taylor Hayes (Krista Allen) and Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) were already closer than they had been in years when they learned Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) had been shot. Now, she lies in a coma and they don’t know what is going to happen to their daughter. While Taylor already put the brakes on anything physical with Ridge, that doesn’t mean they can’t bond more emotionally.
On Monday, they realize they feel more comfortable with one another than ever and share more close bonding moments. But is Ridge’s heart with Taylor or is this happening only because of Steffy being shot and in a coma? They love having Thomas Forrester (Matthew Atkinson) by their side and feeling like a family, but there is still someone they are not thinking of.
Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) also wants to be there to comfort Ridge through all of this, and she is still his actual wife and not Taylor. But he seems to want to be with Taylor and Brooke is not quite sure what she wants to do. She can let them have their family moments or be there for her man. Why she can’t do both remains a mystery, but this is a soap opera and this is Brooke.
That’s right. This is Brooke. Why wouldn’t she step in and act the way she wants to act? Nothing has ever stopped her before. And who will comfort Brooke while she seems like the odd woman out in this situation. Well, Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) found those two bloodied bodies outside the restaurant laying in a pile of trash. He has been sensitive to everyone’s feelings through all of this, so might he be the help that Brooke needs right now?
Brooke has to make up her mind whether she will let a tragedy get in the way of her winning Ridge back. She knows he is the love of her life after that dream she had, but circumstances have a way of changing and getting in their way. So do other men. Such is the life of Brooke.
