Find out what the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star told Julie and Todd. And learn how Teresa says she survived her own months in prison. Get all the details below.
After spending 11 months in prison in 2015, Real Housewives Of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice knows how it feels to go from starring on a reality TV show to surviving life behind bars. And so when a journalist asked Teresa for her advice for Todd and Julie Chrisley, she offered it. Teresa received her prison sentence after getting convicted of fraud with her former husband, Joe Giudice, noted Page Six.
However, Giudice started out with a somewhat vague comment. And she shared that she survived prison by “manifesting.” But then the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star got more specific. And she recommended that Todd and Julie “stand strong” throughout their months in prison.
With just weeks remaining before the Chrisley Knows Best stars start their sentences in prison, Teresa advised that the couple “stand strong for their family and manifest while being in prison what they want when they come out.” And the reality TV star also showed her awareness that, just like Teresa, Todd and Julie are parents. As a result, she advised that the couple “just to be strong for their children.”
However, Giudice didn’t try to make light of what life will be like in prison for the Chrisley Knows Best stars. And she added, “It’s going to be very hard but they have to make the best of it.” To do so, the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star recommended that Todd and Julie “stay connected to their children and make it work.”
Reflecting on her own experience, Giudice revealed that weekly visits from her children helped her survive her time in prison. But the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star also offered an alternative to having Todd and Julie’s kids visit every week. “The thing is my children were young,” pointed out Teresa. “But based on their schedule, at least, go once a month,” she added.
And Giudice also suggested ways that the Chrisley Knows Best stars could avoid boredom. For instance, the Real Housewives Of New Jersey star suggested yoga, exercise, and perhaps writing a book. But Todd and Julie will spend a much longer period of time behind bars than Teresa.
Todd faces spending 12 years behind bars. And Julie will stay 7 years in prison. But their daughter Lindsie shared that the couple have already begun “living every day like it’s [their] last.” Since getting their sentences as a result of bank fraud and tax evasion, their daughter shared that the couple have begun “dedicating their time in therapy and their biblical studies.”
The Chrisley Knows Best matriarch, 49, and patriarch, 53, faced guilty verdicts of conspiracy to defraud banks out of more than $30 million in fraudulent loans. In addition, they allegedly submitted fake bank statements and credit reports. However, Todd and Julie did file to appeal their prison verdicts. But in less than a month, both will travel to Florida to start their sentences.
