Spiderman Kirsten Dunst Finally Marries Her Long-time Partner

After a 6-year-long relationship, a rep. for Kirsten Dunst, 40, recently confirmed that the actress has married Jesse Plemmons, 34, whom she met on the set of the FX series “Fargo” in 2015.

“The Power of the Dog” costars got married last weekend without any fanfare at the GoldenEye luxury resort near Ocho Rios, Jamaica, per a report by Page Six, after sharing six years of their lives and two kids together.

A rep for Dunst confirmed the nuptials in a statement issued to PEOPLE, but didn’t provide further details about the ceremony.

Earlier this year, Dunst told the Los Angeles Times that she and Plemmons have started calling “each other husband and wife” even though they haven’t actually tied the knot or even made plans of doing so.

“We have to get married at this point. It’s ridiculous. We just haven’t planned a wedding,” she explained in February, blaming the coronavirus pandemic and her second pregnancy as the reason they’re delaying their plans to walk down the aisle. “I didn’t want to be pregnant, get married, have a party and not be able to have fun with everybody.”

The pair met in 2015 on the set of the second season of the FX series “Fargo”, in which they played a married couple. A year later, they started dating. In January 2017, news of their engagement surfaced after Dunst was spotted with what looked like an engagement ring at the Golden Globes.

The couple now share two sons: Ennis Howard, 4, and 14-month-old James Robert.

Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemmons have since starred together in many other movies since their “Fargo” days. For their roles in the “The Power of the Dog”, they both got nominated for the first time in the Best Supporting Actor/Actress categories.

During the 94th Academy Awards, they gave a shoutout to their boys on the red carpet.

“They’re in Atlanta right now because that’s where I’m working, and they’re at a toddler Oscars party,” Dunst explained on the carpet. “So, the girls next door invited them over, and so they’re all representing us there.”

“They’re all wearing red, it’s close to this color, not quite,” Plemons added, pointing out his Kirsten’s vintage Christian Lacroix strapless red sheer gown.

Dunst recalled of hearing the nominations: “I was actually more, weirdly, excited for Jesse. I screamed. To be nominated together is the craziest thing. We just feel so lucky. We already won, you know?”

This couple has proven that they love working together, as they appeared onscreen for several episodes of “Black Mirror” and “Drunk History”, as well as the newly released Netflix movie “Windfall”.

“I don’t wanna do another project without [Kirsten]. It’s just the best,” Plemons told PEOPLE in December. “We fell in love creatively first on Fargo, just immediately trusted each other. I’m constantly amazed by what she brings. She just operates from such a deep place in her soul.”
