Sister Wives spoilers reveal that, according to Entertainment Tonight, the COVID-19 drama for the Sister Wives family will come to a head this Sunday, December 4, as Kody Brown’s pandemic fears are realized.
After spending the duration of the pandemic, three years, adhering to strict COVID-19 protocols, Kody and his fourth wife Robyn both test positive for the virus. Several of their children have also tested positive, however, Robyn’s case seems to be the most severe and she begins to find it hard to breathe.
In a TLC sneak peek, Kody recalled the moment the doctors told him to get her to the ER, saying, “Robyn’s not improving. She’s not improving. Finally, our doctor says, “Take her to the hospital.” That’s when Kody balks for a second, saying, “People go to the hospital to die.”
Robyn and Preston Jessop’s daughter Aurora expresses concern of her own, saying, “I was crying and praying because I was scared that she might die.” Discussing the tearful moment, Robyn, who is a mother of five, talks about leaving home to head to the hospital (via In Touch).
“I didn’t want to say goodbye to my kids,” she says, with tears running down her cheeks. “I didn’t want to say goodbye because I didn’t want it to be the last time I saw them.”
Kody Brown, also positive for the virus, drives Robyn to the hospital but they are separated at the start. While in the car waiting, the father of 18 describes his emotional state as “blue as can be” and says that he even considered admitting himself at the same time so he could stay by Robyn’s side.
Kody, who is also COVID positive, takes Robyn to the hospital but is not allowed in with her, saying in his car that he’s “blue as can be,” and noting that he considered admitting himself just to be near her. However, Brown ultimately accepts the situation and resigns to stay put.
“Seems like a waste for me to be going in there and playing sick when there’s people who might be dying or Robyn who’s passing out.”
Out of breath and wearing a mask, Robyn describes her already six- or seven-hour ordeal at the hospital waiting for a room explaining that the facility is “backed up.” After talking with Robyn on the phone, Kody says, “She sounds pretty bad. She says, ‘I’m sitting here just wasting away,’” adding, “I think I was sitting there wondering if she was going to live.”
Of course, as Sister Wives fans know, Robyn does survive her COVID brush but the battle for the Brown family is still going strong. Be sure and stay up to speed with this and other related stories. Return here often for more Sister Wives spoilers, news, and updates.
