Sister Wives Spoilers: Janelle Brown Wants Christine To ‘Remarry’

Since Christine moved out of her ex-husband Kody Brown‘s house in Australia to Utah, she has only kept in touch with one of her sister wives Janelle because according to her, she’s not so close with her other sister wives Meri, and Robyn.

In a new episode of the TLC show “Sister Wives” season 17, a clip featured Janelle asking Christine if she would remarry after it was obvious that Christine has divorced Kody.

Janelle asked “Do you think you’ll remarry? Somebody else. Not Kody,” to that, Christine acknowledged that she’s “open” to having relationships.

In a confessional, Janelle explained why she wants or dare I say wishes Christine to find love again, “What do you do when you’re 50 and healthy? You just can’t be alone for the rest of your life. So to me, that’s the logical thing. What’s next?”

Janelle not only wishes Christine to remarry, but she also wants Christine to choose someone she’ll like, “I hope she remarries, it’s a very long time to be alone. And I hope I like the guy!”

Sister Wives – Christine Bids Her Sister Wives Farewell

A different clip featured where Christine gathered Kody, and her co-wives together for a final farewell. In the clip, Kody was visibly furious that Christine no longer wants to have anything with him, he was captured yelling, “I don’t ever want to see Christine again.”

Before Christine bid her sister wives goodbye, she made it clear whom she wants to continue being friends with and who she doesn’t want to have anything with.

Addressing Kody’s first wife Meri Brown, and his last wife Robyn Brown, Christine said, “I do see us getting together for family reunions. And I do see us having fun together. As far as the relationships with the other adults — I think Janelle and I are super close, but I’m not that close with the rest of you. For right now, I kind of need it that way.”

When Christine made it clear that she only wants to stick with Janelle, Meri was visibly angry while Robyn was hurt. In a private confessional, Robyn amid tears said that she hoped to become friends with Christine with Kody out of the picture but after what Christine said, there is no hope.

“I have definitely been mourning the loss of the family culture. And there’s this part of me that’s wondered if Kody’s not in the picture, will it be easier for her to have a relationship with me and my kids, It’s kind of that last little bit of hope sort of dying.”

Meri on her part was indifferent about the whole thing, she said, “She doesn’t want to work on anything, and I have seen her nonacceptance of Robyn, and I have seen her disdain for me through the years. So as much as it hurts me, I’m glad to know where she actually stands.”

Sister Wives – Kody Doesn’t Believe He And Christine Are Divorced

In a previous episode of Sister Wives, Kody was seen saying that he and Christine are not yet divorced. According to Kody, he got to hear that he and Christine were divorced through his daughter Truely. “I was sitting there talking with Truely and she’s like, ‘Well, you and Mom are divorced,’ It was a little bit news to me.”

Kody’s take is that since they didn’t sign any papers and they didn’t notify their church, Christine is still very much married to him as he is to her. “We never made an official agreement. We never signed a paper. We never agreed. We never went to our church leaders and said, ‘Hey, we’re divorced’ or ‘We want a divorce.'”

Christine Brown who called her marriage with Kody Brown quits back in November 2021, and moved out of Australia back to Utah has a different opinion from Kody. Christine argued that her marriage with Kody was never really a legal marriage and neither are they still a member of their church so for all she knows she doesn’t have to sign any paper to be divorced from Kody.

“Since I don’t have any legal contract that binds me with Kody, there was no legal process that we had to go through,” Christine explains. “Neither of us are a part of that religion anymore. So, me just saying I’m divorced? I don’t see the problem in that at all.”
