Sister Wives – Meri Brown Rushes To The Hospital

Sister Wives spoilers reveal that the Sunday episode of Sister Wives was one that was filled with uncertainty and emotion. However, the emotional impact was likely felt most by Meri Brown who was seen rushing to the hospital.

The TLC star remained mostly silent as the drama around COVID-19 unfolded between Kody and the rest of the sister wives, according to Entertainment Tonight. About halfway through the episode, we see Meri speeding towards the hospital five hours away.

The TLC star shared that her mother, Bonnie, had been in the hospital for two days before they realized that she was having an extended heart attack. Things apparently took a turn for the worse because Meri is asked to come to the hospital to say her goodbyes. “It’s not something I’m ready for,” adding tearfully, “she’s only 76.”

Sadly, while still an hour away from the hospital, Meri is informed that her mother has passed away. Viewers likely wept as they witnessed her reaction as she tried to come to terms with the loss while still behind the wheel.

“I don’t even know how to do this,” she cried. “This is just so unexpected and so quick. This is not supposed to happen this way.” The rest of the family grieved as well as Bonnie had always brought light to the family.

“Bonnie was my first mother-in-law. I think I fell in love with her first, you know?” Kody said of the woman, smiling wistfully. “She’s just the sweetest lady.” Robyn says that Bonnie, also in a polygamist marriage, had always welcomed her into the Brown family as Kody’s fourth wife. “Bonnie always treated me like I knew her forever. Every time I was around her it was a sweet experience,” She said, “She always made me feel welcome.”

Sister Wives – Meri Brown Ponders Life Without Mom

Christine, who also came from a polygamist family described Bonnie as encouraging her to mend her relationship with her own mother, saying “After my mom left our church, people didn’t know what to do with her. I didn’t know what to do with her,” Christine admits. “[Bonnie] just always pushed me to reconcile with my mom, always. And that’s just Bonnie, to the core.”

Meri then tearfully gave an update, saying, “I don’t know what to do at this point. I don’t know what the rest of my life’s going to look like,” she says in her one-on-one interview. “There’s just a lot I have to figure out because she’s just always been there.”
