Sister Wives Meri Brown Shares Message About Finding “Courage” Amid Split From Kody Brown

Just like Christine and Janelle Brown, Meri Brown has joined the list of the “Sister Wives” that have left Kody Brown in his polygamous marriage.

Christine was the first to take the bull by the horn and take a walk to “get to know herself” after spending nearly three decades in a loveless marriage to Kody. She announced her divorce from the TLC star last year’s November 2021.

Barely a week after it was confirmed that Janelle also took a walk from her marriage with Kody, Meri the very first wife of Kody has also separated from Kody.

Sister Wives – How Meri Brown Is Taking Her Split From Kody Brown

The news of Meri and Kody’s split first came out on Thursday, Dec. 15, after Kody announced he wasn’t married to Meri.

During the “Sister Wifes: One On One Special” which aired on Sunday, Dec. 11, a clip where Kody said in a confession, “I don’t really consider myself married to Meri, If she wanted to move on and marry another, she wouldn’t get an argument with me” was revealed, and afterwards, Meri confirmed that she and Kody are no longer together.

A day after Meri revealed she was no longer with Kody, she took to her Instagram account to make a cryptic post about “Courage.”

“If you don’t want to make waves, keep on being mediocre. Do the thing that everyone else is doing. Seek everyone else’s opinion and validation. Do what everyone else thinks you should do,” began Meri.

The TLC star went on to say “Or….Do your thing. Do your thing in your own time and on your own terms. Let them judge you. Let them talk about you. Let them create their own ‘stories’ about you. Find your courage. Find your strength. Know who YOU are and don’t let them tell you any different,”

Meri concluded her post which featured a picture of her in a black outfit, and two gold neck pieces, with, “Worthy Up, Sister!”

Sister Wives – Kody Brown Didn’t Discuss Separation With Meri Brown

The funny thing here is, while Christine and Janelle left Kody out of their own choosing, Meri didn’t choose to leave Kody. The reverse was in fact the case. Kody lost interest in Meri a long time ago.

Speaking with host Sukanya Krishnan on how she felt after Kody said he doesn’t consider himself married to Meri, Meri said, “It just doesn’t make sense to me that he would be so frustrated with Christine and be like, ‘She just made this decision, we didn’t consult, we didn’t talk, she just made the decision’ and then he says, ‘No, I don’t consider myself married to Meri. Like, he just made the decision. I never heard him say that to me.”

A source close to the Browns revealed to E! News that Meri and Kody had already separated months before it was made public. According to the source, Kody didn’t want the separation known at the time because he thought people would be judgemental about it.

It is well known that Christine left Kody because he no longer gave her the attention she needed but gave all his attention to Robyn his last and only legal wife.

It is also known that Janelle left Kody because Kody compared her loyalty to him with that of her fellow sister wife Robyn.

We really don’t know the grounds on which Kody and Meri are calling it quits, although, unlike Christine and Janelle, Meri is open to reconciling with Kody.
