Sister Wives Meri Brown Discovers Christine Opposed Her Reconciliation With Kody

Sister Wives spoilers reveal that, according to Too Fab, as Kody’s marriages began to fragment, he considered reconciling with one of them, but Christine talked him down. Now, PEOPLE reports that the 32-year marriage between Meri and the father-of-18 is over.

In a clip for the Sister Wives: One-on-One special, the exes discuss the disintegration of their bond. Per Entertainment Tonight, after the catfishing scandal with Meri Brown, Kody had said that he would never feel “safe” being intimate with Meri again, though Meri determined to stay by his side to see “if Kody would be willing to work on a relationship.” However, Kody never led Meri to believe there was any hope of reconciling their romance.

“It wasn’t what it was,” Kody said in the clip addressing his relationship with Meri. Despite all that has gone down between he and his first wife, Kody claims he is “no longer angry with [Meri] for what [he] had to go through” in his marriage to her.

“I was willing to see the error of my ways and then work to determine whether we were good with each other anymore,” Kody explains, but added that he had discussed as much with his other wives; Christine, Janelle, and Robyn.

“My other three best friends, I expressed that to them. [I said], ‘Meri and I can work it out, maybe,’” he recalls. “I’m going like that with these three women, and it just rattles Christine.”

Meri Brown – Feels Good About The Possibility

Meri, for her part, said she’s surprised to learn that reconciliation could have been possible were in not for Christine. “We went out on a picnic, and he was saying, ‘No, you’re supposed to have been courting me.’

“I said, ‘Kody, I’ve been waiting for you.’ He’s like, ‘I’m not coming,'” she recalls. “After I turned off my camera, I put my arms around him, up around his neck, and I said, ‘What would you do if I just kissed you right now?’ He was physically a board, and he was backing up. He’s like, ‘I can’t do that.’”

Though just hearing that her marriage could have been saved made Meri “feel good” Kody’s willingness “didn’t last through the evening,” Meri says before adding that should Kody think it possible, she “would be open” to a reconciliation.
