In his statement, Kody revealed that he no longer considers himself married to his first wife, Meri Brown. Kody has insisted in the past that he can never ask for a divorce. But it seems like he’s already acting like they’re separated, even if Meri continues to insist that she’s still committed to him.

The November 6 episode titled A Polygamist Divorce is going to be an emotional one. Christine will be packing her things as she prepares to leave while Ysabel Brown, her second youngest daughter, will move out to attend college on the East Coast. Fans can expect more drama as he makes the shocking declaration about how he perceives his relationship with Meri. Not only that, but how will Meri react when she learns about this?

Sister Wives – Kody Brown’s Contradicting Statements

Kody’s statement about his relationship with Meri is only one of the many instances he contradicts himself. He’s been trying to make himself more likable to the show’s fans at the cost of saying things that are against his previous claims.

Another example of these contradictions was when he claimed that Christine had been telling others that she was planning to leave well before she finalized her decision. But she also said that Christine blindsided him about her decision to leave.

In an exclusive clip, Christine believes that she and Kody are already divorced. However, the latter doesn’t think that they are because they never asked for the church’s approval.

“We never made an official agreement. We never signed a paper. We never agreed. We never went to our church leaders and said, ‘Hey, we’re divorced’ or ‘We want a divorce,” Kody argued.

Robyn seems to agree with her husband and says that he and Christine need to ask for a divorce from the church, get approval, and the paperwork, to say that they’re marriage officially is broken.

He also agreed to Janelle Brown’s decision to purchase a fifth wheel. But he eventually changed his tune and said he didn’t want to live in the trailer, and he never consented to Janelle’s purchase.
