Sister Wives: Kody Brown Blames Christine For Destroying Their Family

Sister Wives spoilers and updates tease that Kody Brown didn’t react well when Christine Brown told him that she was leaving the family. Not only that, he blamed her for destroying their family.

Fans have known for quite a while that Christine had already left Kody. They both announced back in November that they were splitting up after a 25-year marriage. But they had no clue how the latter reacted when she broke the news. Now, in shocking scenes from the show’s season 17 premiere, viewers finally saw Kody’s reaction.

The estranged couple sat down to have a lengthy discussion about their marriage. Christine pointed out that it was Kody’s fault because he didn’t want to have an “intimate” marriage with her. Kody defended himself and said that they were intimate, but it was conditional because they were in a plural family.

Christine argued that having sex a couple of times a year isn’t enough for a marriage. She then said that she was no longer interested in being intimate with him, even if he said that they could be intimate again.

“Even if you said you liked plural marriage and would be devoted to it, I wouldn’t believe that for a second,” Kody shot back at Christine.

He also added that he lost his attraction and respect for her when she mistreated her Sister wives. He added that he couldn’t be intimate with someone who can’t be fully committed to their lifestyle.

Christine stood her ground and told Kody that she’s made up her mind to move back to Utah.

Kody asked that even if they’re no longer lovers, they still share a family. He wondered how things would work if she were far away. He even added that she shouldn’t break up the family because that’s what grown-ups do.

He continued by saying that they could still salvage the family and make their relationship work for the sake of the kids. In a confessional, Christine described Kody’s reaction as pathetic and self-affirming.

In the season premiere, Christine revealed that she couldn’t be herself in their relationship. She had to fit Kody’s specific “criteria” so he’ll find her attractive. Christine was frustrated that Kody’s intimacy with her was based on how she treated the other sister wives.
