As Sister Wives fans will recall, season 16 of the show saw the glue that held the Brown polygamist marriage together, disintegrate. At the beginning of season 16, Kody had four wives, Christine, Janelle, Robyn, and Meri.

When COVID came into the picture, everything changed. Christine would often complain about how the family dynamic had changed as a result of the pandemic, exposing weaknesses in the plural marriage. In a recent Reddit post titled “Kissing Robyn while Christine was in labor,” Sister Wives fans took a moment to discuss their take on the situation. One wrote, “I noticed in the episode where Christine is in labor that Kody kisses Robyn right before leaving for the hospital. This moment came after Christine told Kody and her sister wives how it hurt when she learned that Kody had kissed Robyn to seal their engagement.

Christine didn’t believe a plural wife should kiss her husband before marriage. So, knowing how much it hurt, Christine, Kody, and Robyn still had no problem kissing each other on the day she was in labor? That seems particularly cruel.”
