Royal Family News: Fans Get Upset As Princess Beatrice Cries For Her Late Grandfather

The Royal news and updates reveal fans felt bad when they saw Princess Beatrice shed tears during the memorial service for Prince Philip. They took to social media to express their support for the royal.

On March 29, the royal family held a memorial service for the late Prince Philip at Westminster Abbey in London. Princess Beatrice and other members of the royal family were in attendance for the special occasion. A lot of things caught the eyes of royal fans and one of these was when Princess Beatrice covered her face as she cried during the service.

The event commemorated the life of Prince Philip and recognized his legacy in creating various opportunities for various sectors including the armed forces, young people, and more.

Princess Beatrice was unable to hold back her tears during the service of thanksgiving for her late grandfather. The cameras immediately caught her visibly upset with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi on her side, comforting her.

Fans React After Watching Princess Beatrice Cry During The Service

One person took to Twitter and said, “I feel for her. She lost her grandfather. We can sit and speculate all day, but this family is still grieving underneath the scandals and reports. I see a granddaughter who misses her grandfather, and I relate to her in that aspect.”

Another one noted that Princess Beatrice was close with her grandfather, which is probably why she got very emotional during the service. Someone also commented that it’s frustrating to know that the royal family can’t even grieve without the paparazzi watching their every move.

About 1,800 people attended Prince Philip’s memorial. The event was the first major occasion that the Queen attended after canceling several engagements because of health problems.

Joining the Queen, Princess Beatrice, and Edoardo were Prince Andrew, Prince Charles, Prince Edward, Princess Anne, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Prince George and Princess Charlotte. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were unable to attend the service.

Prince Harry And Meghan’s Absence

Prince Harry and Meghan stepped back from their royal duties back in 2020. The couple are now living in California. A spokesperson of the Duke of Sussex confirmed earlier this month that Prince Harry would not be able to attend the event.

Prince Harry has openly expressed his concerns about his safety in the U.K. He even filed a legal challenge that hoped to let him cover the expenses needed for him to have his own police protection when in the country.
