British Royal Family News reveals this is certainly not the welcome they were hoping to get. British Royal News suggests that the city of Boston has zero interest in Prince William and Kate Middleton’s trip to their city. In fact, one headline from the Boston Herald even screams, “Dysfunctional royal family head to Boston to restore their image.” Yikes. Here’s what you need to know.
Columnist Joe Battenfeld makes it pretty clear that William and Kate’s trip to America is going to be one inconvenient boozefest. He writes, “Get ready for traffic disruptions, a big taxpayer bill and a lot of needless bowing and curtsying. The dysfunctional royal family is coming to the Boston area starting Wednesday, with Prince William and Princess Kate headlining a packed, three-day public relations tour aimed partly at burnishing the royals’ bruised image.”
Oh boy. That has to sting in more ways than one.
With that said, one source close to the situation says that WIlliam and Kate are nonetheless “excited to be able to bring that to the United States and inspire people stateside and around the world through the incredible stories we are going to tell” with their Earthshot initiative.
The source adds, “The prize has become the Prince’s Super Bowl moment of the year, and he looks forward to continuing to use the platform each year to shine a light on some of the most impactful projects doing amazing things around the world to save our planet’s future.”
To make matters worse for the Prince and Princess of Wales, there are more headlines about them ignoring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle than their actual Earthshot awards ceremony. It’s been reported that Harry and Meghan have not been invited to attend their ceremony and that William and Kate also have no plans to visit California to see them, either. And when it comes to Earthshot, it seems like no one really truly cares at this point, right?
