Prince Harry Wants To Take Kids To The UK

As his fight for security continues, Prince Harry wants to take Meghan Markle and their kids to the UK for a visit with the Queen. Harry apparently “has his heart set,” on returning to the UK with Meghan, Archie and Lilibet for a visit with his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, according to insiders.

Prince Harry Wants His Kids To Their Cousins

A source told Us Weekly that the Duke of Sussex wants to return home for a visit but that it “will only happen if the government takes the appropriate measures to protect his family,” adding, “He refuses to put them at risk. Their safety comes before anything else.”

Besides seeing his grandmother, the ex-royal wants his kids to meet their cousins Prince George, 8, Princess Charlotte, 6 and Prince Louis,3.

The insider revealed, “Harry and Meghan are doing everything they can to make the world a better place and feel it would be wrong to rob their children of the opportunity of getting to know their cousins. It’s obviously difficult because of the distance factor, so Harry sweetly organized a special Zoom call with Prince William so that the cousins could get to see each other.”

Prince Harry’s Fight For Security

Earlier this month, Harry applied for a judicial review of the Home Office’s previous decision which ruled that the Sussexes couldn’t personally fund police protection for themselves and their kids, while they were in the UK.

The Invictus founder had offered to pay for police protection after he stepped down from royal duties back in January 2020, but this was dismissed. Though Harry has funded for a private security team in California where the family is settled, he argued that a similar arrangement wouldn’t work back in his home country.

A statement on the issue read: “Prince Harry inherited a security risk at birth, for life. He remains sixth in line to the throne, served two tours of combat duty in Afghanistan, and in recent years his family has been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats. While his role within the Institution has changed, his profile as a member of the royal family has not. Nor has the threat to him and his family.”

It added that the security he currently has “cannot replicate the necessary police protection needed whilst in the UK and that the absence of adequate protection “Prince Harry and his family are unable to return home.”
