Prince Harry is reportedly furious that somethings were not made available to the Home Office during the court case.
An insider revealed that he is “engaged in pre-action correspondence for a proposed second judicial review claim in relation to these matters, and intends to issue that claim shortly.”
On the other hand, defending RAVEC’s ruling not to afford Harry bodyguards after he left Royal life and moved to California, Sir James Eadie QC for the Home Office, told the court: “There is a core constitutional difference between a working Royal and not.”
Sir James also made it clear that he should not “be permitted to simply demand security” because he can afford to pay the police.
The Duke did not waste time in launching a 2nd judicial review concerning his offer to pay for protection, which gov lawyers dismissed as “irrelevant”.
Harry’s legal team are pushing back with the argument that his offer to pay for security from his private funds has not been taken into consideration. They say the offer was officially made to the Palace in both Jan. and April 2020, but was not conveyed to RAVEC.
Home Office argued back, saying: “The reference to ‘offer to fund’ which could have been conveyed is not understood: there has never been an offer to fund (and still has not been) made to RAVEC in any material form.”
