The Royals spoilers and updates tease that Prince Albert has provided an update about the health of Princess Charlene. He said she’s making progress as she continues her recovery.
Prince Albert offered a brief update about Princess Charlene during an interview with a local newspaper called Monaco-Matin.
“Princess Charlene is doing much better, and I hope she will be back in the Principality very soon,” he said.
The update came three weeks after the place issued a statement about Princess Charlene’s condition. During that time, the palace said that Princess Charlene was recovering well. However, she’ll still require treatment for several weeks.
The palace added that Princess Charlene was still unable to join the festivities such as Saint Devote Day because she was still recovering.
The “convalescence of H.S.H. Princess Charlene is currently continuing in a satisfying and very encouraging way,” read the palace statement, which was originally issued in French.
The statement said that the Princess will attend celebrations as soon as her health allows it.
“During this period, the Royal Couple requests that their private life and that of their children continue to be respected,” the statement added.
Prince Charles Issues Princess Charlene Health Update
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE, Prince Charles revealed that Princess Charlene is going to a treatment facility that’s located “outside of Monaco.” She, along with Prince Charles, made the decision to get medical care just days after she returned to Monaco.
Prince Charles added that Princess Charlene is experiencing profound “exhaustion, both emotional and physical.” He added that her clinical care will last at least several weeks.
The 43-year-old princess stayed in South Africa for six months. When she returned to Monaco, Prince Charles said it was evident that she needed medical attention because she was feeling unwell.
Princess Charlene’s Health Complications
People may recall that Princess Charlene went to South Africa last May for a 19-day visit to her home country. Unfortunately, she suffered complications from her previous ENT procedure, which extended her stay for six months. She had to go through corrective surgeries and a relapse led to the postponement of her return to Monaco.
Princess Charlene sought treatment “elsewhere in Europe” which was a solution that Prince Charles favored. It was also a voluntary choice from the side of Princess Charlene. She already had an idea that the best thing to do was to rest and receive a “real medically framed treatment.”
