Joe Giudice, like Todd and Julie Chrisley, faced a prison term for fraud. Like the Chrisley Knows Best stars, he and his then-wife, Teresa both worried about their kids. However, I’m their case, they didn’t both serve time concurrently. Of course, Julie and Todd will go to prison at the same time, which makes it worse. Plus, they got much longer sentences for their tax-related crimes than the two Bravo stars. So, Joe thinks they did the wrong thing by not taking a plea.
Joe Giudice – Was Convicted For Bankruptcy Fraud
Bravo fans were shocked when Joe and Teresa got prison sentences. However, federal law is harsh, and many celebrities found that out. In 2014, Teresa was sentenced to 15 months inside, and she went first. So, when she came out, Joe could start his sentence of 41 months. At the time, the judge felt that the kids needed their parents around, something Todd and Julie Chrisley were not as fortunate to get taken into account.
Initially, Joe Giudice and his wife pleaded not guilty, but they changed that. And, that could have been why they got shorter sentences than the USA Network stars. If you don’t know Todd and Julie will serve a total of 19 years between them. Actually, the judge in Atlanta felt that neither of them showed any remorse for their crimes. Right up to the conviction and beyond, they maintained their innocence. In fact, at one stage, their daughter Savannah was optimistic that they might get off it.
Joe Giudice – Talks About Todd & Julie On Namaste B$tches
When Teresa and Melissa Pfeister chatted with her ex-husband on the Namaste B$tches podcast this week, they discussed a lot of things. In fact, they mentioned his deportation to Italy, their divorce, and where they are now. Of course, because they divorced, both of them see their kids. And that’s not something that Todd & Julie Chrisley will have for a very long time.
Joe Giudice talked about his own prison term and how he felt that the judge just wanted to “make an example” of the two Bravo stars. In fact, he felt that if Teresa hadn’t been on television, there was no way his wife would have done time. To this day, he maintains that she did nothing wrong. Talking about Todd and Julie Chrisley, Joe said, “these people did the same exact thing that we did.” Notably, he feels that plenty of people do the same thing without all the hullabaloo.
Chrisley Knows Best – Stars Shouldn’t Have Gone To Trial
In the opinion of Joe Giudice, Todd and Julie made a mistake. He said that if they had gone for a plea, Julie might have only served about “17 months.” In Joe’s opinion, because Todd took it to trial, “they crucified him.”
