Jill Dillard Introduces New Baby, Frederick Michael

Jill Dillard – Shares Details on Name Meaning, ‘Peaceful Ruler’

The new arrival for the Duggar/Dillard family, originally set to be delivered via C-section in late July, came out weighing a healthy seven pounds, six ounces, and measuring 20 inches in length. Since their stork delivery, the Dillard family is all about their littlest one, who they named Frederick Michael.

Jill recently took to Instagram to share a couple of pics of the wee baby captioning the post with “We are all over here soaking up the snuggles and love from little Freddy.” Earlier this month, the mother of three wrote, “Frederick means ‘Peaceful Ruler’ and Michael means ‘Gift from God,’” adding, “the name Frederick also holds special meaning for us since it’s Derick’s name with ‘Fre’ added to the front, to make ‘Fre-derick.’”

“Similarly, Derick’s name is a variation of his late dad’s name, Rick, that his parents created by adding ‘de’ to the front, the couple wrote. “We were excited to settle on the name Frederick and incorporate both Derick’s and his dad’s name, by just adding ‘Fre’ to the beginning of Derick’s name,” they added.

‘Grow Baby Grow’ Theme Of Baby Shower

Just days following little Freddy’s entrance into the world, on July 7, Jill had a baby shower thrown for her by cousin Amy King (née Duggar) reports In Touch. Amy showed fans a glimpse of the fun via a series of Instagram images which she captioned, “It was an honor to host your baby shower Jill!! You are beautiful inside and out and deserved to be loved on!! Theme: Grow Baby Grow!”

Included in the post were images of plant-themed decoration, up to and including the icing on the cupcakes which were in the form of flowers and plants – hinting at the caption “Grow Baby Grow.” The host’s home was also arrayed in green, white, and gold balloons.
