Jill Dillard Has Baby Early

Jill and Derick Dillard were very happy to welcome their third child this week. They have added a new baby boy, Frederick Michael to the family. He was actually born earlier than they anticipated, but they are so joyful that he is healthy.

The Details

Baby Frederick was born on July 7 at 5:16 p.m. and he weighed 7 pounds and 6 ounces and was 20 inches long. They told fans, “Frederick means ‘Peaceful Ruler’ and Michael means ‘Gift from God.'” They also mentioned that Frederick is just an extension of Derick’s father’s name, Rick. They added, “We were excited to settle on the name Frederick and incorporated both Derick’s and his dad’s name, but just adding ‘Fre’ to the beginning of Derick’s name.”

Jill had to give birth via C-section and the baby was supposed to come in late July and maybe August, but it looks like he was ready! They are both doing very well and they should be able to come home from the hospital in just a few days. It looks like they are currently having some mother and son bonding time while the doctors make sure everyone is ready to leave.

Their Growing Family

Jill and Derick have tried to stay out of the spotlight of reality television for years now. Derick has made claims that his wife never got any money from her father when she was on the show with her large, Duggar family. They have had a family blog for their fans and they are not afraid to tell everyone how they feel about their famous family members.

They have two other sons, who are 5 and 7 years old, Samuel and Israel. Jill has been very excited about this third child and she has been open with her fans about how she did have a miscarriage just last year. She is beyond excited and thrilled to have a new boy in her family and we are sending her a lot of love and happiness with this bundle of joy.
