The Winchesters has added another fan-favorite star, Bridget Regan to the lineup of the Supernatural prequel on The CW.
Meet the latest addition to the cast of The CW’s The Winchesters, Bridget Regan. She joins the Supernatural prequel in a recurring role. Regan has previously been seen in Jane the Virgin and Paradise Lost. Read on to find out more about her role as a rising DJ.
It has been revealed that Bridget Regan is the latest star to join the Supernatural prequel, The Winchesters. She is set to play Rockin’ Roxy, a rising DJ with a not-quite-human fan base.
According to The Wrap, Regan will star in multiple episodes of the new series. Her character is described as “A honey-voiced pirate radio DJ” hijacking the airwaves of Lawrence, Kansas to broadcast a wicked new sound.
Reportedly, behind her mic, she has an electric charm and a rapidly growing fan base. However, as our two heroes, John and Mary, will sadly learn, Rockin’ Roxy’s listeners are not all of the human variety.
So far, The Winchesters stars lead actors Meg Donnelly as Mary Campbell and Drake Rodger as John Winchester, parents to Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki). In fact, Ackles stars in the series in a narrator capacity. The series also features Nida Khurshid and Jojo Fleites.
Meanwhile, the Winchesters tells the love story of Mary and John, from their chance meeting in the 1970s and their eventual romance, all set against a backdrop of demon hunting and magic.
Regan has most recently been seen in the Spectrum Originals series, Paradise Lost. Prior to that, Bridget played attorney/socialite Rose Solano/Sin Rostro in 30 episodes of Jane the Virgin on The CW.
Prior to this, Regan’s television credits include White Collar, The Last Ship, Legend of the Seeker, Beauty and the Beast and Agent Carter. Moreover, she also starred as Poison Ivy in Batwoman on The CW. She will also appear in The Company You Keep with Milo Ventimiglia on ABC.
Meanwhile, Jensen Ackles and his wife and fellow Supernatural alum, Danneel Ackles are executive producers via Chaos Machine. The pair also has an overall deal with Warner Bros. Television. The prequel will be written/executive produced by another Supernatural alum, former co-executive producer Robbie Thompson.
Meanwhile, The Winchesters is produced by Chaos Machine Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television and CBS Studios.
