Is Josh Duggar’s Sentence ‘God’s Revenge’? Derick Dillard And Jill Duggar Think So

Josh was charged last year with receiving and possessing child pornography. Josh was convicted on federal charges in December 2021. On May 25, 2022, Josh was sentenced to 151 months in prison. Jill and Derick call this an example of God’s revenge being carried out.

The Dillard’s chose to make a statement on the May 26 edition of their blog. The Dillard’s described the sentencing day as another hard day since Josh’s arrest in April 2021. The Dillard’s statement says “We are neither rejoicing nor disappointed by the sentence, but we are thankful it’s finally over. The Bible clearly states that God effects justice and vengeance through the governing authorities.” The Dillards state that some believe Josh’s sentence was too light while others think it was too harsh. However, they believe that God’s revenge was carried out with the sentence Josh received for his criminal activity. The Dillards also admit this is the first time that Josh has been held accountable for his actions.

Duggar Family Spoilers reveal the Dillards’ hope for Josh’s future as well. “It is unfortunate, but it seems that it may take spending over a decade in federal prison, and still more on probation, for Josh to have any potential for rehabilitation to the point he can safely live in society again. “Hopefully, Josh can actually begin to get treatment and begin to work toward a lifestyle where he is less likely to re-offend.” Jill and Derick say they will continue to be there for Josh and his family in whatever way they need them to be. Jason Duggar expressed similar feelings about Josh and his sentence.

Duggar Family Spoilers – Is Josh Duggar’s Sentence Enough?

Duggar Family Spoilers indicate that Josh’s sentence consists of over 12 years in prison followed by 20 years probation. Josh will also be required to report to a probation office, attend sex offense treatment programs, and refrain from using marijuana. Josh also cannot see his seven children without supervision.

The Duggars series “Counting On” was canceled after Josh’s arrest on child pornography charges in June 2021. However, this is not the only series the Duggars have lost because of Josh’s actions. The Duggars’ original series “19 Kids And Counting” was canceled when it was revealed that Josh had molested five girls, including some of his sisters.
