But on an intriguing side note, Kardashian-Jenner mom/manager/queen Kris Jenner has become a legal eagle. And somehow Kris managed to time her trademarking of a NEW production company with Hulu’s new TV show announcement. Coincidence? We’ll share the details below and let you decide!
When “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” stars like Kim Kardashian announced that season 20 would mark the final season, fans went into mourning. How could they survive (sob) without their weekly infusion of the famous family? Well, Kardashian and Jenner fans didn’t have to survive for long!
Hulu just confirmed the increasing rumors of a KUWTK spin-off by announcing a new reality TV show, “The Kardashians.” So how exactly does the reboot differ from the original? In its promo, tweeted out this month, the streaming service tried to answer that question.
As the sneak peek video showed, the cast has become smaller. For instance, Kim Kardashian’s estranged husband Kanye West appears noticeably absent from the preview. And “The Kardashians,” which premieres on April 14, will do double duty by airing on Disney+ internationally and Star+ in Latin America in addition to Hulu.
But the main cast reflects the original. Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian co-star with Kris, Kendall, and Kylie Jenner on “The Kardashians,” which Hulu claims will “shatter all expectations.” As for more details than that vague comment, Kris shared some clues, per Deadline. “In the new show, you’ll see us evolving as a family, fans want us to be who we are and since moment one, they’ve been emotionally invested in our show just like we are,” gushed Jenner. “I can’t say much about what’s coming but spoiler, we’re going to look fabulous and everyone’s going to watch.”
Just after promising that “fans will love seeing us continue the journey” on “The Kardashians,” Kris Jenner turned legal in filing trademark paperwork, per TMZ. And her decision reflects the behind-scenes work she’s done to turn the Jenner and Kardashian clan into a profitable entity. Oh, by the way, Kris now prefers the title of President rather than mom or manager, at least according to the legal docs!
Those documents show that Jenner plans to trademark “Kardashian Jenner Productions.” But details on exactly what Kris will pursue under that umbrella remain vague. And President Kris may have deliberately chosen to hold back details other than continuing her focus on “all things entertainment and pop culture.” We do feel safe in predicting, though, that the KUWTK alum feels certain fans will love her efforts and that she’ll look fabulous!
