General Hospital’s Sonny’s birthday has been changed several times since he appeared on the show. In 1995, Mike Corbin (ex-Max Gail) said Sonny was born in 1965. In March 2012, Sonny’s arrest record showed his date of birth as April 20, 1969. The most recent change was when Sonny was declared dead. Sonny’s tombstone said his date of birth was April 20, 1968. This current information, from September 2021 would make Sonny 54 years old.

Sonny had a half-sister through Mike who died in 2006. Sonny also had a half-brother who left town years ago. Sonny has been involved in mob activity since he turned 16 years old. Sonny had a hard life after Mike walked out on the family. Sonny’s mother remarried and his stepfather abused him and his mother. Eventually, Sonny’s mother died at the hands of his stepfather. Sonny received help from the mob to avenge his mother’s death. Sonny’s occupation has almost cost him his life several times.

General Hosptial’s Sonny worked for Joe Scully Sr. (Robert Miano) who killed his stepfather. However, Sonny later killed Joe and took over his territory. Sonny has never trusted the justice system because his stepfather was a cop. Sonny arrived in Port Charles in 1993 as the owner of Paradise Lounge. Later, the strip clue got shut down for letting underage girls strip there. Sonny later helped Luke Spencer (Tony Geary) in Frank Smith’s organization. Sonny helped break Frank out of jail and got shot for his efforts.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Befriends Jason Morgan

General Hospital’s Sonny knew who Jason Quartermaine (ex-Steve Burton) was. However, when Jason rebelled against his family, Sonny befriended him. Jason eventually started working for Sonny because he needed a job after the Quartermaines cut his money off.

Jason saw Sonny and Carly in bed together after being shot and Liz Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) provided him with medical care. Jason worked for Sonny for years afterward and even took over the business a few times. Jason was presumed dead for five years before he returned and went back to work for Sonny. Jason was killed while on a mission to save his brother from Cassadine island.

Sonny was first referred to as a mentor to Jason. Jason has also referred to Sonny as his brother. Although there are a few years difference in Sonny and Jason’s ages, Sonny is currently supposed to be 54 years old.
