Honey Boo Boo’s Post Sparks Trouble Amid Dralin Carswell Rape Accusations

Recently, the news that Alana “Honey Boo-Boo’s” 21 years old boyfriend Dralin Carswell was previously arrested for statutory rape back in 2019 has been all over the internet. When the news broke, fans were concerned as to what would become of the relationship to the extent that rumors of their breakup started circulating.

On Thursday, Alana made a post on her Instagram account, and that post sprouted lots of speculations from fans that, some thought there is trouble in Paradise, and that her post could be as a result of the things going on with her relationship with Dralin.

Alana’s Instagram post was that of Larma Odom’s video which she shared. Larma’s video talked about how people have been bad to him, that he’s been backstabbed, and that his account was hacked. Fans took it to be that Alana was referring to her relationship with Dralin, although Alana’s account wasn’t hacked, fans seem to think that she felt backstabbed by Dralin.

Honey Boo Boo — Dralin Carswell’s Sexual Assault Case

According to the SUN, Dralin Carswell was arrested in 2019 when he was 18 years old. The mother of his victim came to the police to report that Dralin raped her 15-year-old daughter. When the girl in question was interrogated by the police, she said it wasn’t rape but consensual, that she and Dralin had agreed to meet at her house so they could have sex.

When Dralin was interrogated, he claimed to be dating the girl and that they had agreed to meet at her house but he didn’t go, rather he stayed with his friends all day. The said friends gave a different report saying he had dropped Dralin off at the girl’s place and picked him up an hour later, with Dralin telling him to drive quickly because the girl’s mom caught him in the house.

Dralin was charged with Statutory rape but the case was dismissed after Dralin completed a pretrial diversion program, and the assistant district attorney said, “Based on the evidence we didn’t feel like we could prove the statutory rape but could prove making a false statement.”

Ever since Dralin’s past was resurrected, Alana hasn’t said anything yet so it’s difficult to know what she’s thinking however, she did something that rose concern once again. Soon after the news of her boyfriend’s rape case went viral, Alana deleted her TikTok account. It was somewhat alarming to fans because prior to the case, Alana has been actively posting on TikTok.

Prior to the sexual assault case, Alana has been planning to get a weight loss surgery together with her boyfriend. When the news broke, Alana’s mom Mama June Thompson said she’s not in support of the surgery the 16-year-old wants to get, although she’s happy with the decision she would have preferred for Alana to wait until at least she’s 18 years old.
