Victoria Newman could have been a second fatality involved in the crash that killed Rey Rosales & involved Ashland Locke. However, Ashland saved the day… & he showed emotion & love for Victoria.

Ashland saving Victoria from that fiery crash that could have killed her was the first time it was clear that he does love her. It wasn’t Ashland’s first time witnessing a fiery crash involving someone he had ties to, but apparently the first time he witnessed someone he loved that close to death.

Yes, named at birth Bobby DeFranco let his friend Ashland Locke burn & die in a car crash. Ashland Locke’s ID didn’t burn, however, & Bobby DeFranco has been carrying on as Ashland Locke ever since.

In this crash, Ashland had trouble getting out of his own vehicle after the crash but yet managed to get to Victoria’s car which was very much on fire, & he got her out. Only in soap opera world would there conveniently be an abandoned building with a bed for a woman in distress to rest. Ashland got Victoria to that bed.

He got her into that abandoned building. He comforted her.

It was finally apparent that Ashland Locke now played by Robert Newman loves Victoria.

Y&R Spoilers – The Future Of Ashland Locke On The Young & The Restless

Was saving Victoria in that car accident the redemption that Ashland Locke needs? Or, will his efforts to save Victoria end up as a wash? After all, Victoria was only on the road at that time & on County B because of Ashland.

Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) has already thanked Ashland for saving his daughter’s life. If Ashland doesn’t leave Genoa City as the Newman Family has been counting on since the 5 million dollar deal was signed, will he regain any level of respect from them that they previously had for him?

It’s clear that Victoria does love Ashland in spite of his ongoing trend of tremendous lies. Now that Ashland Locke played by Robert Newman is capable of showing love for Victoria, will they be able to salvage their romantic relationship?

Ashland’s marriage to Victoria has been annulled & he’s been ousted out of Newman Enterprises, but he’s not yet out of any of the Newman’s lives.
