Ginger Zee Warns Fans About Imposter Posing As Her

GMA’s Ginger Zee has joined the list of celebrities who are victims of imposters who used their social media bio to scam fans off their personal data. Recently, a report was brought to the ABC News climate chief Ginger Zee about a fake account posing as her on Twitter.

The report came to Ginger through another Twitter user saying, “I thought you may want to know this. I believe this is NOT you. Someone’s out there pretending to be you. Just an FYI.” After the message was delivered, Ginger quickly made a post about it and asked her 2.2 million fans to report the imposter account because it seems the fake account already blocked her so she has no means of reporting it.

When fans got the imposter account tip they didn’t waste time in reporting the fake account. Their actions actually paid off because the account has been suspended by Twitter. In the process of celebrating the suspension of the account, some of Ginger’s fans who have had dealings with the account also came forward to share their experience with the imposter.

One person wrote, “I sent a hello on that one and they asked me for personal information. I said sorry your not the real person… There are so many pages of famous people and others think they are chatting with that person and sadly they aren’t.”

Some, expressed their relief that the account has been suspended, one of them wrote, “They are now suspended! Everybody Wana be Ginger Zee till a hurricane breaks out and you out in the middle of it reporting.”

Other than posting about her imposter account, Ginger has been busy replying to online trolls on Twitter. Even, very recently, Ginger replied to a troll who had something to say about her apparel on Friday’s morning broadcast.

Ginger Zee — Ginger’s Response To The Troll

Ginger who wore a yellow and brown checkered long-sleeve top that has a nice oval shape opening in front, which revealed a modest amount of skin from her chest, received a callout from an unhappy troll. The callout reads, “No one wants to see Ginger Zee’s white chest at 8 o’clock in the morning.”

Apparently, Ginger wasn’t in the mood to banter words with the troll, all Ginger gave as a response to the post which the troll made sure to tag her in, was, “Sorry it bothered you! Have a good weekend.”

Although fans came to the post to defend Ginger’s dress, this isn’t the first time a troll has called out Ginger for her choice of dressing. Last month, a troll called Ginger a “retired stripper turned streetwalker” because of her dress sense.

When Ginger saw the post she replied the troll saying, “I have been missing these harsh disses on Twitter lately. Thank you for the smile. Now, in this storyline you’ve invented, when was my turn to streetwalker? And how did I get into the GMA studios? If this is what a stripper turned prostitute wears … I’m out of the loop.”
