GH Spoilers: Nik And Liz Argue Over Their Fake Baby

General Hospital spoilers tease Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) may have bitten off more than they can chew this time. We’re used to seeing this pair get into messes together going back as far as their teenage years, but 25 years later, some fans expected more out of Elizabeth. She’s the responsible one.

It crippled her to carry the secret that Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) presumably killed Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Hasn’t she learned anything that would have prevented a reasonable person from getting entangled in Nikolas’ drama with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl)? Apparently not. Regardless, she thinks she knows best, and so does Nikolas, which is where they’re going to butt heads next.

General Hospital Spoilers — Elizabeth Webber’s Reputation Precedes Her

Elizabeth is a pretty beloved person by all who know her — except for maybe Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) and Dr. Finn right now. She’s never asked for help from the men in her life when it came to raising her three sons. She was a single, working mother who managed to do it on her own. She’s never complained. Much less, she rejoices in being a mother and a nurse — taking care of others’ is her passion.

Maybe that’s why she fell so easily into Nik’s trap. Regardless, when Nik and Liz sit down to discuss what life is going to look like for them after the baby comes, they won’t reach an agreement anytime soon. Elizabeth will detest any potential for the baby staying with Nikolas full time. That would hardly make sense and people would question it if Elizabeth didn’t want to raise her own child. She’s not wrong.

GH Spoilers – Hint Nikolas Cassadine’ Reputation Isn’t Spotless

On the other hand, when Nikolas argues that it’s really his baby and not Elizabeth’s, he won’t be wrong either. Why does Elizabeth actually want to raise this baby? Does she really want to start over again? Does she really want to co-parent? Maybe not, but she doesn’t want everyone to think she just had a baby and handed it over to be raised solely by a Cassadine either.

Ouch! Okay, she’s not wrong either. General Hospital spoilers say Nikolas doesn’t have a good reputation as a man or a father. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) can attest to that. Nikolas is longing for a chance to have a do-over at fatherhood and might see this baby as that chance, but can he really do it alone and not screw it up?

General Hospital Spoilers — The Future Isn’t Very Bright

The chances of these two coming to an agreement that doesn’t wreck both of their families is slim. When Elizabeth’s sons find out she is pregnant by Nikolas, they are going to be confused and upset. They’ll definitely wonder what happened with Finn, whom they really came to adore.

Nikolas is going to push Spencer away from Wyndemere in hopes of embracing him again after the baby comes. How is that going to work if Spencer hates his father even more by then — or worse, cuts ties and runs back to Europe to escape him?
