General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) still hasn’t told Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) she’s sick. Diagnosed with leukemia months ago, the only people that know about Willow’s illness are her doctors — and she’s been leaning on one of them rather heavily to support her emotional needs that aren’t being met at home. T.J. Ashford (Tajh Bellow) has been a good friend to Willow, and is certainly going above and beyond to lend her an ear or a shoulder, more so than he would give to any other patient. However, Willow is a coworker of his at GH, so maybe there’s nothing more to it.
General Hospital Spoilers — Willow Tait’s Health Scare
Willow is going to receive news that her health has only deteriorated. Despite her attempts to rest, eat right, and seek some balance in her life, her cancer is only progressing. Has she taken for granted that her baby has been okay thus far and taken it to mean the baby will continue to be okay if she just sticks it out?
GH Spoilers – Indicate The Leukemia Could Impact The Baby
Truth be told, Willow’s choice to delay cancer treatment has already potentially impacted the wellbeing of her baby. That’s one part of this story that Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) may be furious about when the truth comes out. She didn’t give him any opportunity to weigh in on the risks and benefits of foregoing treatment this long. Now that she has, no one can turn back the clock and get a redo.
If the baby suffers from birth defects or potential challenges for the rest of his or her life because of the unilateral decisions Willow has made in the last few months, Michael may never forgive her. Moreover, she will have to answer to her child someday. That is if Willow is even able to beat the cancer at this juncture.
General Hospital Spoilers — It’s Time To Tell The Truth
Willow’s health is tanking rapidly, and she may need interventions that she could have avoided had she accepted treatment earlier, but she was firm in her decision not to expose the baby to the harms of cancer treatment during the first trimester when fetal development is so critical and at risk.
Dr. Terry Randolph (Cassandra James) and Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) both remain supportive of Willow’s decisions and respect they aren’t easy choices to make, but they and T.J. have continued to urge Willow to be honest with Michael. He is the baby’s father and her partner after all. If Willow doesn’t come clean soon, someone else may have to for her when she falls seriously ill to the point that lifesaving treatment is necessary. Stay tuned for more GH news, updates, and spoilers just ahead.
