Port Charles Police Commissioner Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) has come to Wyndemere Castle to ask Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) about his visitor. She had just come from GH where she was talking to Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) about how he was interested and involved in Oz Haggerty, (Max Faugno) who’d gone to Wyndemere. Nikolas was not there when Oz showed up to talk to Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) although Ava Cassadine (Maura West) had been right behind Oz.
Nikolas, however, likely knows the other ways off Spoon Island aside from taking the launch to the pier and can tell Jordan about those. One may be traveling through the catacombs and tunnels to the mainland, and Jordan says that’s convenient.
At the Port Charles courthouse, Marcus Taggert (Réal Andrews) talks to Ava as Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) trial is about to recommence. Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) is there to testify for Trina, and Taggert asks Ava if she has any idea what he plans to say on the stand. Spencer won’t say anything that could be used as an alibi for Trina, but he won’t say anything that could be used as an alibi for Esmé either. Attorney Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) will plan to use his lack of alibi for Esmé for Trina’s benefit, however, as it could provide reasonable doubt that Trina is guilty.
Spencer arrives, and he reassures Trina that he’s here for her, even if he doesn’t wind up exonerating her. Trina will probably think he’s two days late and two dollars short, but it’s better than nothing at all; at least he’s trying. Trina had liked him in spite of his duplicitous Cassadine ways ever since he first came to Port Charles going by “Victor”.
But Trina has grown tired of his Cassadine schemes and manipulations over the time she has gotten to know him. If he had been real and honest with her and minus his horrible girlfriend Esmé things might have been different.
Recently reinstated Spring Ridge intern Esmé made no bones about seeing Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) right away, so apparently Nikolas got Dr. Kevin Collins’ (Jon Lindstrom) restrictions lifted as well. Esmé talks to her presumed birth father about everything that has happened lately, and that’s including the leverage on Nikolas she used to get reinstated. There are other issues she’ll want to talk about as well, most certainly including that so called birth mother Spencer said was in Portugal; Ryan will verify she’s been tricked. Whether she talks about Oz Haggerty or not is a different story, Ryan could see her leaving DNA and fingerprints in his room as a failure. Ryan doesn’t like it when Esmé is sloppy, and she knows it.
Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) shows up at Wyndemere Castle at an inconvenient time for Nikolas and proclaims he’s made a decision as the head of this family. Victor will question what has Nikolas on edge, and there are several things, not the least of which is whether Esmé will spill the salacious sex tea. Nikolas is also worried about many other things but that’s the worst, and undoubtedly Jordan’s earlier visit.
Most importantly Nikolas wants to keep his marriage to Ava intact and he doesn’t want anything to ruin that. Whether he’ll confide his Esmé guilt to his great-uncle is a big question.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) talks to a frustrated Britt Westboune (Kelly Thiebaud) about her Society Setups match. Knowing Damian Spinelli ( Bradford Anderson) is the creator and the brains behind the app and Britt wants to sue, she’s trying to convince Britt that her recent matchup was right. Britt would rather date Comet the Horse than Cowboy Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and she doesn’t even like horses. Maxie may have a difficult time convincing Britt to give the app another try – of course, Damian overrode the algorhithms for that match anyway.
Still trying to fix what went wrong with Cody and Britt’s cyber matchup, Maxie offers to help Cody after another attempt to charm Britt goes wrong. Cody asks what it’s going to take to start over with Britt, and get a second try; and the fashionista becomes romantic advisor and maybe more.
The best she can offer is to probably try to create an impression that will wow Britt and make her wonder if she was wrong about her would-be suitor. There is the thing about three strikes and you’re out, but Maxie will try to be encouraging nonetheless.
Back at Spring Ridge, an unusually pleasant Ryan sits in a wheelchair agreeing with what his presumed birth daughter is saying. Esmé was talking about leverage and what good is it if it’s not used, and she may just use it in Trina’s court hearing. She has yet to successfully break up Nikolas and Ava so Ryan can get to Ava when she’s vulnerable. In Ryan’s twisted romantic fantasies, Ava will overlook the fact that he murdered her daughter and not be able to resist his efforts.
