Britt has an interesting question for someone after she and Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) opened Peter August’s (Wes Ramsey) safety deposit box and found a very expensive necklace. It was a massive diamond and ruby necklace that obviously belonged to a very wealthy woman. She assumed that Peter had stolen it so she put it back in the safety deposit box and put the key in a safe place that her mother had taught her.
Britt is obviously curious about the necklace and who it might have belonged to so she asks someone a rather odd question. She asks the person if they were ever a jewel thief; she may be talking to Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco).
In the meanwhile, Cody appears to be at Volonino’s Gym as he tells someone he doesn’t want any more help from them. Cody will confide in Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) so he may be talking to his old friend. Something about finding that necklace with Britt may have given Cody some other ideas, as he didn’t seem real pleased that she didn’t get it appraised. He thought she should maybe sell it or something, but she was concerned that Peter stole it so she didn’t want to be seen with stolen property.
Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) will brief Austin Gatlin-Holt (Roger Howarth) on an issue, and she tells him “a lot more than that”. She’s been talking to him about Cody possibly being her stepbrother while he’s been trying to lose his cousin Mason Gatlin (Nathanyael Grey). Family is beginning to become problematic for both Maxie and Austin, it would seem.
Things appear to be getting more and more complicated for both Maxie and Austin as they try to maneuver through their own relationship. They certainly don’t need any interference from family members or anyone else.
Sam answers Britt’s question with not being able to pass something up. Perhaps Britt wants her to see if she can trace the necklace to its source because she’s pretty sure Peter didn’t come by it legally. Sam might be the perfect person to try and trace the necklace, because she is part Cassadines and they descended from Russian royalty, or so the rumor is. Perhaps it was something Peter and Britt’s father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) stole from Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). It does look like it could have belonged to a queen; perhaps the diamonds came from the missing Ice Princess Victor’s been looking for.
At Nina Reeves’ (Cynthia Watros) penthouse, Ava Cassadine (Maura West) makes herself clear about her and Nikolas Cassadine’s (Marcus Coloma) relationship. Ava is pretty blunt as she hisses to Nina, who’s backed up against the wall, that Nikolas’ and her relationship will be done when she says they’re done. No one is going to rush Ava into doing anything that she doesn’t want to do, least of all Nina.
Ava has her reasons for her and Nikolas not going through with the divorce. As she explained to Nina, she holds the power over Nikolas – or so she thinks.
Victor is still arguing with Nikolas at the Metro Court as he makes his demand and announces his next move. He threatened to take Nikolas out if he didn’t divorce Ava, claiming it involved family loyalty to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez). Victor demands and proclaims that he will be moving into Wyndemere Castle to Nikolas, which of course will make problems for his keeping his prisoner. But, perhaps, since Victor claims to be all about family, he’ll deal with Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) himself, who claims to be carrying Nikolas’ baby.
In the jail at the Port Charles Police Department, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is afraid for Valentin and Charlotte Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart, Amelie McClain). Robert Scorpio (Tristan Rogers) is visiting his former WSB partner and wife and she whispers through the bars that Valentin and Charlotte are in danger. As Anna has been framed for Lucy Coe’s (Lynn Herring) murder with no body found as of yet, Valentin was forced onto Victor’s jet, supposedly Switzerland bound.
Valentin told Anna before he left, knowing that instead of a visit to his daughter, who may not even be alive, that they-meaning Victor and his associates-were getting rid of him. Victor’s death threat to Nikolas proves he has no family loyalty unless said family stays under his thumb and his control.
As Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) catches up with her old friend Holly, who just returned from the presumed dead, Holly has a warning. It’s not a warning to Felicia but a warning about what Holly’s going to do. She hauled off and slapped Victor in the Metro Court after finding out he’s suspected in the murder of Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary). That’s probably what she’s talking about when she warns Felicia that she’s just getting started.
