General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveals an unlikely encounter is headed in Trina Robinson’s (Tabyana Ali) direction. Trina won’t expect to be approached by Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy). The two don’t exactly frequent the same social circles, and they really have nothing in common apart from Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) now that Trina doesn’t speak to Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) anymore. Is that why Uncle Victor is reaching out?

Victor isn’t the only one who is going to attempt a conversation with Trina. Spencer is also going to come calling — all the way from Pentonville. We’re not sure he’s got that kind of telephone privilege from behind bars, but a letter would suffice. Will it say anything like his first letter did in which he revealed his feelings to her? Spencer still doesn’t know Trina is even aware of the contents of that letter, or how his heart really feels. Might Victor try to help hammer it home?

Of course, Victor never goes into any negotiation without knowing his prospective target well. He’s likely been watching Trina and monitoring her interactions with others. He knows she’s only warming up to Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) more the longer that Spencer is away. How can he put a wrench in their new love story to buy Spencer some more time?

Is Victor just being the world’s greatest uncle and hoping to help his great nephew score the love of his life? Likely not. Victor doesn’t help anyone if it doesn’t also serve him. For starters, he knows Nikolas and Spencer are on the outs. Because of this, he could risk Spencer excommunicating himself from the entire family again. Not wanting that, Victor may be circling around Spencer just as a means of keeping him attached to the Cassadine family money tree.

Yes, Victor wants the Cassadine fortune he believes he’s entitled to. Currently in Nikolas’ hands where Victor isn’t likely to see a penny of it, Victor knows one of Nikolas’ children is his most likely way of gaining access to any of it. Hence, Victor’s interest in Spencer may lie with him wanting to butter him up so he can ask for favors later. This will also give Victor a good motive to join ranks with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and try to weasel a trust — or more — out of Nikolas in the name of his alleged unborn child. What do you think Victor really wants with Trina? Is she just bait for Spencer? Is she in harm’s way?
