GH Spoilers: Victor Hired Cody to Retrieve Peter’s Necklace

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveals Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaugnessy) has been hard at work carrying out his schemes across Port Charles. His intentions have yet to be fully revealed, but many people have their suspicions. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), Laura Collins (Genie Francis), Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) and many others are distrusting and don’t believe he’s back just to catch up with his family.

The real reason Victor is in town now is because Peter August (Wes Ramsey) is dead, and Victor has a strong interest in what he left behind. Who will help him circle around Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) and get his hands on Peter’s last effects?

General Hospital Spoilers — Cody Bell’s Crash Landing Wasn’t Coincidence

When Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) parachuted into the Metro Court Hotel pool, it seemed like fate must have brought him back into the orbit of his childhood pal, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). That was too good to be true. Cody is in town with impure intentions, and while we don’t know quite yet how many people he’s targeting, it doesn’t seem like he’s feeling too good about his covert operations to hurt the people he’s been cozying up to.

Britt is one of those people. The more Cody gets to know Britt, the more uncomfortable he’s felt about the sinister con he’s running on her. When he first blew into town, he found himself lucky to stumble upon information on Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) that he could use to blackmail the Society Setups owner into setting him up with Britt. No one has asked why he just had to be paired up with Britt — until Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) did. Her curiosity isn’t going to end, and Cody is starting to sweat it.

GH – Spoilers Indicate Cody Bell Is Well-Compensated

Rumor has it, Cody’s stable boy act is just that —- an act. Victor must be paying Cody handsomely to do his bidding, but Cody has to pretend he’s a fly-by-the-seat-of-his-pants horse whisperer just to skirt any suspicion about how he’s paying for accommodations any nicer than a bed of hay.

What is it that Victor needs Cody for that he can’t do himself? As this story is starting to unfold, it appears that Cody has his sights set on Peter’s last effects, and that Victor must have known in advance that Peter had the diamond and ruby necklace he left to Britt. How did he know, and is its value merely rooted in the metal and jewels alone?

Part of the game Cody has been playing with Britt as he flirts with her and grows their friendship has been encouraging her to face her fears and anxieties over what Peter left to her and why. So, he joined her this week when she went to the bank to open the box of items Peter left behind in his estate. When she pulls out a diamond and ruby necklace, she’s stunned. However, Cody’s face — while enamored with the jewel necklace — doesn’t spell surprise.
