Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) continues his conversation with Josslyn after Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) leaves. He had finally had a chance to thank Carly for helping him when Joss was taking care of him in her dorm room, and she said she was glad he survived. Dex and Josslyn have been having increasing difficulty staying away from each other and fighting their sexual attraction.
Dex leans in close as if to kiss Josslyn to kiss her as he tells her to stop denying herself what she really needs. That sounds like he’s referring to himself, and Josslyn looks troubled but at the same time, tempted.
At Wyndemere Castle, there’s a clash of the Cassadines as Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez) disagree. Nikolas tells Spencer there’s something else he needs to know, as if he hadn’t heard enough already. Spencer has to be wondering what else there could be he needs to know as his father revealed his fake affair with Elizabeth and her pregnancy with his child. Spencer carries some papers with him and the look on his face says, oh yeah, this is going to be good-not! Maybe they’re divorce papers from his father he wants him to sign.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) has an admission for someone as he tells him or her that one bad decision can change your whole life. Cody ought to know, since he made a very bad decision to lie about the DNA results between himself and his birth father Mac Scorpio (John J. York).Cody had diamonds and rubies in his eyes when he chose the Ice Princess necklace and Leopold Taub (Chip Lucia) as a father instead of Mac, who’s a real gem.
Perhaps Cody will swallow his pride and make another admission, and tell Mac he lied about the DNA test and he is his son. Or, at least lie that he misunderstood the results, after all, he doesn’t have any medical training and those are big words.
At the Port Charles Police Department, Dante shares a revelation of sorts with Mac, although it’s really more of a conclusion. He’s serious as a heart attack when he remarks it looks like they’ve got a serial killer on their hands. They knew they had a problem with someone slashing with hooks, but according to the FBI, there’s a definition; there has to be more than three kills. Of the kills, they must have common characteristics to tie them to one perpetrator. In total there have been six killings and two survivors, so the Hook killings have now gone to true serial killer definition.
At Charlie’s Pub, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) forms a new theory as he continues to confront Denise Makenzie (Alice Rietveld) over her lies. Things got tense as he told her not one bit of truth had come out of her mouth concerning Harmony Miller (Inga Cadranel) and Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) origins. Denise has to return home but he tells her she’s not leaving there until she tells him why she lied.
Denise was paid off by Carly, unbeknownst to Drew or anyone else to tell the same story that Harmony did about the unwed mother Joan (uncast character). He’s talking about the story that she’d given birth and the baby who would be named Kali Miller was given to the cult leader, Josiah (uncast character).
Carly, who’s been keeping what she knows about Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) being Willow’s birth mother and Nelle Benson’s (Chloe Lanier) twin walked in on Drew and Denise’s argument. Now she’s trying to cover by telling someone, likely Denise, that she’ll make it worth her while, after telling her she couldn’t pay any more. Carly doesn’t know Willow’s looking for her birth parents because she needs a bone marrow transplant, and she’ll do anything to keep Drew from finding out she lied to him. He had helped her get Willow’s DNA to match to Nina’s, and promised to tell him the truth about the results-she didn’t, but this time she’ll dodge a bullet.
At the chapel at GH, an emotional Elizabeth and Nikolas had been talking about their decision to pretend Esmé Prince’s (Avery Kristen Pohl) baby was hers. Ava spotted her and confronts her in the chapel about her “affair” with Nikolas-Liz and Nik had remembered another affair when she got pregnant with Aiden Spencer (Enzo DeAngelis). They had wondered if they’d stayed together back then if a lot of trouble they caused could have been avoided.
Elizabeth is probably remembering that as Ava comes through the door meaning business. She apologizes with tears, saying she’s sorry, and Ava warns she will be!
