At the Quartermaine charity picnic for the children’s wing of the hospital Chase will finally reveal his true feelings to Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton).Chase approaches Brook Lynn and tells her he could really use her help. What they don’t know is that Leo Quartermaine (Easton Rocket Sweda) found his great grandmother’s recipe for the Sicilian love tea and started making it.
The love potion was intended by Olivia Quartermaine (Lisa LoCicero) to give Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) a shot of courage to move forward with their romance. But Chase gets a drink of it and he’ll confess to Brook Lynn that he loves her.
In the previous episode, Curtis went diving into the pool after telling Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) that he saw something and it looks like he found it. Perhaps it fell out of the pocket of his swim trunks in an earlier dip in the pool, or maybe he just planned it that way. He popped up out of the pool with a large diamond ring in hand, surprising Portia, who was pleasantly surprised and smiled. Now he’s making his poolside proposal while still in the pool as he looks up at her and asks her to marry him.
Still at GH, Marshall Ashford (Robert Gossett) and Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) continue to work out their past with each other. Even though Marshall was absent from his sons’ lives when Jordan was married to Tommy Ashford (mentioned character) he knew everything about what happened in Afghanistan. Marshall had taken responsibility for what happened concerning Tommy being killed in friendly fire in a fight by Shawn Butler (Sean Blakemore).
Jordan tells him if anyone was at fault it was her, because the incident resulting in Tommy’s death happened when he found out Jordan had cheated with Shawn. Marshall may think that Tommy had inherited his schizophrenia and it contributed to the fight.
Back on the grounds of the Quartermaine mansion where the charity picnic is taking place, Olivia approaches someone carrying a covered dish. She obviously comes across someone in an argument as she tells them to take their fighting somewhere else. Although she will approach Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) with her displeasure that he and Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) are dating, Nina had turned him down when he invited her as his date.
It’s obviously some other pair’s fight that Olivia has stumbled upon, because Sonny’s there solo. With all the couples there at the picnic, it could be any of them.
It may be Nikolas Cassadine (Marcus Coloma) and Ava Cassadine (Maura West) that Olivia interrupts, as they will be bickering the whole time at the picnic. Nikolas doesn’t look pleased as Ava points her finger in his face and tells him to trust her, it’s not too late. Previously, he told Ava she would have to move back into the Wyndemere Castle with him in order to keep the Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) situation under control.
Ava doesn’t like being backed into a corner, but this time she has to allow it. If they don’t stay married and living together and Esmé’s body surfaces, she could be charged with murder; she can tell no one Nikolas slept with the schemer either.
Willow and Michael are by themselves, perhaps inside their gatehouse home on the grounds of the Quartermaine mansion as she delivers devastating news. Willow is near tears and having a hard time telling Michael what’s wrong, and doesn’t know if they can this time. She was told by Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) that there were very few options to save her baby’s life without risking her own. Now she brings Michael in the loop and tells him she has leukemia, so they may not be able to have their baby this time.
Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) and Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) heat up at the picnic, as they flirt while he’s busy grilling some goodies. Carly asks what he’s got for her and he tells her to prepare to be amazed. It’s difficult to tell what’s hotter, them or the grill fire.
However, they’ll soon have second thoughts, and later run into some danger before the picnic’s over. But for now, they’re just having a lot of fun.
Next, an angry Sonny lashes out as he points his finger and tells someone to give it their best shot and they’ll see what happens. He also is inside in front of some bookcases that appear to be inside of the Quartermaine mansion. He might be blowing up at his oldest son’s mom Olivia, as she expresses disapproval over his and Nina’s relationship. But whoever’s on the other end of that argument is getting it full force from Sonny.
