General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates reveals Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) hasn’t been navigating her heart very well this past year. She’s a smart girl with a good head on her shoulders. It makes sense that logic would prevail over feelings most of the time for her. But she’s been wrestling with her own emotions about Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) ever since they first met, and now she’s facing the same conflict with Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse).

At some point, nearly every woman in the world makes a list of pros and cons about a guy. Resisting the urge to follow our hearts, usually because we’ve lied to ourselves before and misled our own minds, we have to flesh it out on paper and see which side adds up best.

In Trina’s case, she doesn’t have to decide whether Rory is good enough for her. She knows he is. In fact, she knows he’s just plain good for her. But he’s not Spencer. In some ways, that’s a pro; in others, it’s a con.

Alas, every woman is confronted with the same problem. Pros and cons aren’t evenly distributed. Sometimes, one pro has so much value that it outweighs all the cons. This appears to be the case for Rory versus Spencer.

No matter how much Trina continues to lie to herself and force her relationship with Rory to go on, she just can’t forget Spencer. Her feelings for the Cassadine casanova don’t make her feel less for Rory; they simply are less than what she feels for Rory. As the saying goes, nice guys finish last. It looks like Rory is about to find himself back in the friend zone. Rory is a great guy. He’s the perfect guy, on paper. He’s just not the perfect guy for Trina. Despite her mother’s disapproval and the numerous times Spencer has hurt Trina, she can’t help but love him.

On the flipside, Trina’s gut instincts have been telling her she’s not ready for what she’s getting into with Rory. Casual double dates with Josslyn “Joss’’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Cameron Webber (William Lipton) were one thing, but a trip alone with him out of town feels like too much. As Trina chatted with Ava Jerome Cassadine (Maura West) about her hesitation, Ava pushed her to go and said it was probably just nerves about the last trip she took to the cabin with Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) and gang being such a bust.

Trina shirked it off and agreed, but we could tell something was still nagging at her. Could her instincts be telling her the reason she’s hesitating about Rory has nothing to do with her feelings for Spencer and everything to do with what’s lurking beneath the surface with the good cop?
