GH Spoilers: Spencer’s Angle, Ava Suspicious

General Hospital (GH) spoilers and updates tease in this week’s Sneak Peek, that Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) has an angle, and Ava Cassadine (Maura West) has questions. Ava wants to know why he suddenly put his freedom at risk after so many months for Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali).

General Hospital Spoilers – The “Late” Spencer Cassadine Appears

The “late” Spencer appears at a table at Kelly’s where he and Ava had agreed to meet with each other, and she tells him she doesn’t appreciate being left waiting. Spencer apologizes, telling Ava he’s sorry to be late but he’s been a little busy since he has to report to Pentonville Prison soon. Ava then questions Spencer, verifying that he’s headed for the prison because he broke out of Spring Ridge and admitted it on the stand at Trina’s trial.

Spencer confirms that he was trying to give Trina an alibi, because her jury needed all the reasonable doubt they could get. Ava, a bit snarky, tells him that’s very noble, but since he never does anything that doesn’t benefit him somehow, asks what his angle is.

GH Spoilers – Spencer Cassadine’s Other Confession

Spencer has yet to make his other confession, namely that he’s in love with Trina; at least to Trina herself. It’s pretty obvious to their friends Cameron Webber (William Lipton) and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) and Ava may suspect it as well. Spencer also has yet to admit to Trina that he strung Esmé Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) along for months, trying to get her to confess to framing Trina. As far as Spencer’s “angle”, as Ava puts it, his attempted last minute Hail Mary for Trina probably was in order to impress Trina or prove his love for her. Trina herself may be hiding some secret feelings for Spencer as well, seeing as she wasn’t quite ready to go all in with Officer Rory Cabrera (Michael Blake Kruse) recently.

General Hospital Spoilers – The Truth

The scenes in the Sneak Peek will air on Monday, August 22 and Ava will also have some truth of her own for Spencer. She tells him in the daily preview for Monday that she has truth that will lay him to waste, and it may be about Esmé “leaving town” for good. What Spencer doesn’t know won’t hurt him, and he doesn’t know that Esmé may actually be dead.

Viewers will remember that Esmé and Ava got into a struggle during a showdown at Wyndemere Castle, ending with Esmé falling over the parapet into the ocean. Eventually, Spencer will find out that truth as well, possibly even by the end of the week.
